Solution Architect - IT

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with Customers, Business Unit Heads, Account Managers, Technical leads, Developers, Project managers and business analysts in conceptualizing, designing and developing new applications, modules and enhancements.

- Assist in defining software development project plans, including scoping, scheduling, providing time estimates for programming tasks and implementation plans and schedules.

- Prepare and distribute work assignments, provide guidance, and/or review the work of offshore development team members.

- Cooperate with the Quality Assurance team to define test cases, metrics, and resolve questions about test results; assist Quality Assurance team in keeping the quality assurance environment in proper condition.

- Implement solutions that are reliable, scalable, and perform at a high-level to meet the service levels associated with mission-critical solutions.

- Create, build, train and scale a team/account for success.

- Deliver high-quality solutions to business owners to ensure alignment of technical solution with business objectives.

- Should be open to learn new skill and technology as required by the Organization to meet and adapt to changing business requirement

- Should give need basis technical consultation to other teams within the Organization.

- Lead a team of developers through the development process by implementing best practices as mandated by customer organization or industry equivalent standards.

- Familiarity with AGILE/Scrum development process and should lead a Scrum team(s)

Skills & Competencies:

- Strong understanding of cloud computing fundamentals (example PaaS vs IaaS vs SaaS, server less computing etc.) and cost models

- Should have hands on experience in developing data pipelines by using any cloud platform [Azure/AWS/GCP] services. Cloud certification [from official cloud vendor] will be an added advantage

- Should be good at any programming languages with a strong hold on Frameworks C, C++, Java, ASP.NET, C#, Python etc

- Should have built Web applications using Angular or ReactJS framework with a strong knowledge on JavaScript

- Should have hands on experience in developing big data applications using below Hadoop ecosystem tools Sqoop, Hive, Pig, Apache Spark PySpark (Java/Python/Scala), Kafka, Oozie

- Demonstrated work experience in streamlining migration of applications, data & infrastructure from on-premises to cloud

- Strong understanding and experience in cross functional software development and deployment through CI/CD

- Exposure to Containers, Kubernetes and other DevOps concepts

- The candidate should have strong data engineering skills (ETL/ELT, data profiling, DQM, data modelling, data warehouse, data mart, data lake etc.) to build data pipelines.

- Database: Strong knowledge of any RDBMS, NoSQL database.
