Overview of the position: 1. To manage Brand, communications and public relations related works for the SOIL Group 2. To assist the larger brand building effort by strategic use of communication and PR A. Scope of duties and area of responsibility 1. Branding &amp; Communications: a. Anchor the process of content creation, design and production of all collateral online and offline (brochures, flyers, mailers, advertisements and others) and be the point person to support other team members in producing content for internal or external communication b. Monitor and ensure the consistency and quality of communication and content that appears in any media, collateral or channel of external or internal communication c. Work with professional bloggers and writers to create good quality content in the form of blogs, articles and other such media d. Set up and manage internal communication platforms/channels/collateral that will ensure that all internal stakeholders (faculty, students, alumni, donors, founders, partner institutions) are aware of the latest developments and are enthused about being a part of SBD and SOIL 2. Public Relation: a. Engage with the partner PR Management firm to: - Drive and ensure that the strategic objectives and plans are achieved and executed in an effective manner - Track the performance of the PR firm by organizing and lead review meetings - Provide the required support in the form of drafting press releases, coordinating meetings between SBD and SOIL representatives and those from the media b. Lead the planning and execution of media/press events across different cities involving founders, faculty, and representatives from the partner institutions c. Build institutional level relationships with journalists, influencers and opinion makers by facilitating regular meetings between them and the key stakeholders of SBD and SOIL 3. Others: a. Work with external vendors, partners for development and production of marketing collaterals like brochures, ads, prospectus, presentations, website, online ads and so on, as required b. Stay abreast of the new developments and techniques to enhance the effectiveness of communication and content produced by SBD and SOIL C. Prior experience and credentials: 1. Four to five years of experience in communication management 2. Prior experience in managing the function and leading a small team will be preferred 3. A degree in writing, mass-communication, English, journalism from a leading academic institution in India or abroad D. Qualities desired: 1. Strong writing and communicating skills 2. Being comfortable with uncertainties of a start-up like an environment 3. An understanding of brand building and strategic communications 4. Passion for making an impact on writing and shaping public opinion for good causes E. Other specific technical skills preferred: 1. Organizing and executing projects efficiently 2. Archiving, record keeping 3. Awareness and understanding of the type of content that works for high-quality academic institutions and its internal and external stakeholders - students, recruiters, partners, internal team members, faculty and so on F.
