Position - Manager Function - COSS/LCR/GCR Title - Manager - Reporting Purpose of the Role : Manager-Reporting - The role incumbent, as Manager of COSS/LCR/GCR is specifically responsible to ensure seamless delivery by effectively managing People & Process, drive quality & efficiency, ensure proper governance with counterparts, documented and anomalies followed-up until closure, ensure risk management for the team and adherence to all SG policies (Risk, Infosec, DLP, appropriate RCSA exercise, etc.) and demonstrate Service Culture postures consistently Responsibilities in the Role : As Manager, the incumbent is responsible for: A. Delivery: This constitutes the following axis: 1. Deliveries a. Ensure quality and timely deliveries to clients b. To handle Escalations/issues/alerts raised by counterparts c. Ensure 100% creation, updation and delivery of governance reports (KPI Metrics) d. Regular Ops/Governance call are conducted with client and MOM shared and confirmed e. Limit and report Operational incidents, run Root cause analysis and take corrective actions wherever necessary f. Ensure adequate Permanent supervision and Operational risk management system is in place 2. Stakeholder Management a. Build and oversee strong client/partner relationships for various BLs within SGGSC and supported from Bangalore. 3. People Management a. Ensure robust back-up and cross training plans are in place b. Ensure appropriate communication to team and minimal people issues c. Performance Management - Conduct 1X1 sessions provide structured feedback d. Co-ordinate and plan annual leaves and ensuring the smooth flow of the process e. Share the best practices within team f. Control on attrition and staff growth g. Enforce leave and PDP planning h. Develop sense of ethics and values at work across each team members - MATURITY, Ownership- i. Implement Zero tolerance policy with poor performers and careless approach to work 4. Financials and Risk Management a. Monitor the financials on a monthly basis and ensure the financials are close to the Budgeted values b. Continuously and closely monitor the risks on operations c. Review progress on the Audit recommendations (if any) in a timely manner with adequate governance and control 5. Efficiency/ Operational Excellence / Performance Management a. Monitor performance and service commitments through continuous evaluation, quality assurance and focused improvement efforts b. Monitor progress of continuous improvement initiatives and take appropriate corrective actions when required. Establish a strong process of Go & See in the team. c. Ensure efficiency targets are closely monitored, budget is proactively followed and any deviation is reported to management with proper remediation actions d. Drive and support team find more avenues of efficiency in their respective process. 6. Workforce Management a. Appropriate Hiring plan for the department to deliver the roadmap anticipated as part of the BL strategy and proactive monitoring of its execution of this plan b. Ensure team's span of control, capacity and skills for better workforce planning B. Transformation / Change Management: Be responsible for transformation and change management in the Team 1. Business development a. Constantly evaluate and propose new opportunities that will help the client b. Propose/build new services that will add value to the process 2. Innovation a. Promote a culture of strong constant evolution and innovative thinking. Contribute to GSC's innovation initiatives. Proactively drive initiatives on future challenges for GSC b. Ideate / seek and/or collate feedback from employees of department on GSC roadmap; convert them into actionable initiatives and build strong business cases for execution 3. People and Organization a. Ensure a strong succession planning process within Team b. Build capability of direct reports to address current as well as future business plans of the Organization C. Talent Management: a. Ensure team's performance capability and competency level for optimal performance. b. Mentor and coach direct reports and assist direct reports in managing their teams. c. Define & implement methods to increase retention, increase levels of engagement within the Function. Analyze causes for attrition; find solutions and improvements to keep attrition low or in line with organizational targets. d. If and when applicable (teams split btw Pritech, Voyager and Chennai), develop specific managerial practices around remote teams management and role model them e. Focus on and ensure achievement of Diversity related objectives for GSC. f. Build a performance oriented culture within the function; ensuring the correct message on the significance of merit and contribution is sent across during Reward and Recognition exercises g. Strong collaboration for mapping skills, mobility possibly with the Business Line h. Ensuring sound mapping of individual skill levels, abilities & aspirations against identified needs. i. Initiate adequate training programs to induct and develop staff across: new joiners, reinforcing operational excellence for production staff, building expertise and developing managers Qualifications: - Degree/preferable Masters Degree in Business, with knowledge of banking operations and products - Strong knowledge of Risk and compliance within the banking industries - Successful customer service track record and the ability to foster a service oriented work environment Abilities/skills required: - Good analytical skills - Strong process and change Management capabilities - Strong Negotiation skills - Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills. - Effective interpersonal skills in a multi-cultural team environment - Self-starter and self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as with a team of peers - Energetic and mature Work Relationships (Detail level of relationships to be maintained across other roles/teams in the organization are highlighted) Vertical Relationships Reporting Into Head CORE/LCR Reported By Directly Team members (currently 10) with Analyst & Senior Analyst Role Peer Level Relationships - Transversal Functions within GSC & External Counterparts (IBFS, AMER COO).
