About Business Line - COSS (Corporate and Shared Services) provides shared services to Societe Generale Group with the integrated service offering of IT and Business Operations. Reference Data Operations is one of the group shared services platform working with multiple businesses of SG including investment and retail bank. The services include both business and IT operations in the areas of client on boarding & lifecycle management, KYC, LPO, structure & Organization etc About Project / Process - KYC is part of - The Third-party Life Cycle (TPL) function- in the reference data operations organization. This vertical is responsible for carrying out carrying out KYC due diligence as part of the periodic review and remediation process. This is a leadership role which involves managing all the aforesaid functional streams covering ~50+ FTEs. Key Responsibilities / Deliverables - - Manage the aforementioned functional teams and drive locally the global strategy and vision, reporting into the Head of the KYC & Reg vertical, working in partnership with the Global management - Working in collaboration with stakeholders of the Global organization including the Front office, Settlement operations, IT, Regulations and Legal departments to ensure effective service delivery on the functional activities. - High focus on risk & controls. Zero tolerance on policy and regulatory lapses. Identify possible risks and implement controls to mitigate them - Ensuring that regulatory, compliance, audit and operational controls are consistently met through-out the year - Chair steering committee meetings to review operations, Bangalore activities, performance metrics, roadmap, issues/challenges etc with stakeholders (Local/Global management, Settlement operations etc) - Work towards enhancing counterpart relationship, experience and ensure good stakeholder satisfaction - Regularly seek feedback from stakeholders and implement corrective and preventive actions as appropriate - Foster Professionalism, Expertise, Versatility and team work - This role will have a supervisory responsibility for 4-5 direct reports and overall ~50+ indirect reports - Reinforce link between Bangalore and partner locations - Be cost effective. Ensure lower operational cost through process efficiencies and improvements. The successful candidate will have 10+ years experience in investment banking operations with at least 5+ years of working within a KYC environment in a similar role. - The candidate should be able to reference a proven delivery record on effective operations, risk and people management. - Should posses excellent understanding of current & future regulatory changes (FATCA, EMIR, DFA, MiFID, BASEL etc) from a KYC/reference data standpoint - Must have undertaken global change management projects - Manage the aforementioned functional teams and drive locally the global strategy and vision, reporting into the Department head of the Referential vertical, Working in partnership with the Global management - Working in collaboration with stakeholders of the Global organization including the Front office, Settlement operations, IT, Regulations and Legal departments to ensure effective service delivery on the functional activities. - High focus on risk & controls.
