JOB DESCRIPTION

- The job holder will support a team of Category Managers, and will assist with the procurement of IT Products and Services.

- The role requires a range of Procurement skills including spend analysis, market research, supplier identification, contract negotiation, as well as post-contract supplier performance and contractual adherence.

- The jobholder will be expected to support the full lifecycle sourcing process providing value analytical expertise across the RFX process. In turn, it is expected that the jobholder support the supplier relationship management of business critical vendors.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Negotiate agreements with IT vendors for IT Services, Software and Telecoms, delivering best in market pricing by creating effective negotiating conditions.

- Build eRFX's so that tenders can be digitally monitored and issued to potential vendors.

- Provide aggregated commercial summaries scoring supplier responses against the business requirements.

- Acts as the IT subject matter expert for eRFX to ensure online system capabilities meet Group IdP requirements.

- Recommend eRFX functionality enhancements that improve departmental efficiency.

- Provide effective IT order placement and management through an efficient supplier set up and requisition process.

- Verify accurate data is received from stakeholders and vendors for initiation of the Purchase Order process.

- Support invoicing queries from BIS stakeholders to ensure invoices are paid in line with contracted terms.

- Monitor category spend data and trends to identify opportunities to deliver additional business benefit.

- Monitor online contract database to ensure renewals for IT contracts are managed appropriately.

- Ensure new contracts are uploaded to online contracts database with the necessary data to drive contract compliance.

- Update and create key supplier stakeholder maps with any changes to vendor account teams.

- Support vendor engagement process ensuring all suppliers are compliant with Group IdP requirements and documentation.

- Engage with Group Indirect Procurement colleagues to support continuous improvement initiatives.

THE INDIVIDUAL

- Good understanding of IT procurement categories and the ability to understand technical details at a high level.

- Must be proficient in working with Microsoft Office applications and should preferably have experience with spend analytics, savings tracking and eRfx tools.

- Knowledge of more advanced Excel functions such as pivot tables, data validation and Vlookups desirable.

- Basic understanding of key contractual clauses.

- Excellent communication and organizational skills.

- Demonstrated negotiation and supplier management skills.

- Ability to implement change with direction and support from IT Global Category Manager.

- Ability to perform assessment of supplier terms and basic contracts analysis.

- Ability to analyse existing IT category strategies and aid category execution.
