Location: Remote/ Hybrid We are looking for a senior hands-on Architect to take ownership of Smit. fit's back-end architectural solution. The suitable candidate should have experience designing highly scalable platforms using Microservices architecture on AWS/GCP and has expertise in building scalable and secure APIs to support several real-time and batch integrations. The candidate must have hands-on experience on Java Springboot and NoSQL databases, preferably MongoDB, and should have implemented Product Engineering best practices, including using DevOps and CI/CD pipelines. The candidate must be able to mentor the back-end development team and effectively collaborate with the Mobile Front end team to deliver platform features in an Agile manner. Thus, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and product quality are essential. Key responsibilities: - Create and maintain a modular platform architecture of Smit.fit Mobile App & Portal, to be in line with the Product & Programs roadmap. - Make the optimal design decisions and drive the implementation of APIs, batch programs, 3rd party integrations to support the roadmap - Provide recommendations and implement the technologies and tools to be used for different back end components - Maintain the platform database and enhance it to support platform functionality, data reporting & analytics, data security, and scalability - Automate code deployments using DevOps best practices for processes and tools - Maintain the AWS & GCP Cloud Infrastructure by provisioning the required services and managing Cloud investment costs. - Review developer code and ensure implementation of efficient, modular, and reusable back end components - Identify bottlenecks in the platform, troubleshoot issues, and propose solutions for a robust back end. Product Technology Stack: Java Springboot, Python, AWS, GCP, Mongo DB, Kubernetes Qualification: - 10-15 years of hands-on experience designing and developing back-end components using Java. - Sound knowledge of Product Development Lifecycle, Cloud Architecture & principles - Proven experience in integrating with REST APIs and 3rd Party system integrations, preferably with Digital Health partners, Payment Gateways, etc. - Has led the architecture and design of highly scalable platforms with mentorship experience to technical staff - Openness to work in a dynamic start-up environment. Preferably some experience in working with start-ups or product companies - Bachelors'/Masters' degree in Computer Science or related fields
