SmartOwner - Assistant Vice President - Finance - CA (10-20 yrs)
JOB PROFILE:
You will be responsible for maximizing returns on financial assets by establishing financial policies, procedures, controls and reporting systems. S/He will be responsible for coordination of company's financial planning and budget management functions. This includes ensuring compliance to generally accepted finance and legal principles.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Guide financial decisions and protect assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
- Conduct and manage internal audits and provide information to external auditors.
- Prepare budgets and achieve budget objectives by establishing schedules, collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data and recommend corrective actions accordingly.
- Provide regular updates on financial status of the company by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data.
- Prepare periodic management reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Comply with legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipate future legislation, enforce adherence to requirements, file financial reports and advise management on needed actions.
- Protect operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential.
DESIRED SKILLS:
- Ability to create and analyze financial reports, statements and budget documents.
- Recognize and be responsive to the needs of all stakeholders.
- Proficient in managing a team, including regular progress reviews and plans for improvement of the team.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Chartered Accountant or MBA in Finance
- 6-20 years of experience in mid to senior level management position on financial planning, budgeting, cash flow, investment priorities, and policy matters.
