SmartCoin is here to provide simple and transparent financial products to the large underserved population in India. We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst who will help in our mission by leveraging the state-of-the-art machine learning and AI.

Your primary focus will be performing statistical analysis, and applying data mining and machine learning techniques to build next generation credit decisioning and risk models. You will also work towards fraud prevention and digital UA optimization. You will collaborate with our current team of nerds in solving complex problems in a simple way by creating experiments, algorithms and prototypes that not only yield high-accuracy but are also designed and engineered to scale.

Responsibilities:

- Understand what data is available, where, and how to pull it together.

- Work across the spectrum of reporting and data visualization, and apply the right level of solution to the right problem.

- Perform in-depth data analysis to identify user behaviors (understand what makes users use and stay on the app) and interpret findings, and make recommendations to the marketing and product teams

- Derive insights through A/B tests, funnel analysis and user segmentation

- Assist in analytical ad-hoc projects aiming to spot usage and trends across the app and determine causation

- Build statistical models, train, test and tune them towards the optimal performance.

Skills and Qualifications:

- At least 3+ years of post-collegiate in a quantitative field in consumer web apps or mobile apps.

- Hands-on with writing advanced SQL queries.

- Ability to communicate the results of your analysis clearly

- Passion for identifying and applying data-driven insights

- The expertise in applied statistics such as distributions, regression, statistical testing, etc.

- Deep understanding of data mining and machine learning techniques and algorithms.

- Experience in credit-risk modeling and fraud detection is a plus.
