SM/AGM - Industrial Design & New Product Development - NID

Working on product/industrial design in a well-known consumer durable/building products organization; 7-10 years of experience; formal education in design (NID); Advanced CAD design capabilities. Experience of having created designs which were commercialized. Working knowledge of materials, production processes.

- Develop design briefs based on product gaps or potential product solutions identified by product team out of NPIC, researches or specifier feedback.

- Develop multiple design concepts based on the design brief. Work with engineering and production to assess feasibility and costs; present shortlisted concepts to NPIC.

- Shortlist/fine-tune designs based on internal/dealer/customer feedback; specifically seek architect/specifier feedback. Conduct design research formally.

- Create detailed CAD drawings and create prototypes working closely with plant; present to NPIC and seek approval.
