Role: Reporting to the CEO, the Head of Retail and Operations will be responsible for developing and driving the brand's offline expansion and the overall P&L. This includes but not limited to driving growth through expansion, innovation and operational excellence that provides a delightful and consistent customer experience with an objective of establishing SLAY as a leader in F&B retail and Omnichannel play. As part of the Executive Management team, you will be responsible for leading the growth and operations mandate and the team at a National Level. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and execute a retail setup, operations and growth strategy - Identify target sites in high potential locations and achieve no. of store openings in the markets identified as per the business plan - Conduct financial analysis and technical feasibility of the site - Build a robust deal flow and new store pipeline through Lead generation to identify key properties where to setup SLAY Caf- Kiosks both in captive (Corporate/tech parks, malls, Universities / Colleges, Travel, etc.) and high-street - Negotiate and finalize letters of intent, lease agreements, amendments, renewals, expansions, closures, and related documents. Develop, manage and drive broker relationships - Partner with the Brand Strategy and Customer Experience teams to define the physical retail experience and optimal store model - Work with the Infra and Operations team to execute plans including site selection, store design, and timelines - Build a joint business plan with the property owners/stakeholders in order to arrive at a mutually economic model (for cases where we work on revenue sharing basis) - Liaise with key stakeholders- Property Owners, Transformation and Operation team, across all stages from lead generation to the new Caf- going live - Create performance dashboards including sales and engagement tracking - Work with Brand team to create go to market strategies for store openings - Manage a calendar of events and ensure proper alignment of retail schedule with marketing, editorial, and communications teams - Lead and mentor the retail teams to deliver a best in class service and performance - Establish training and development programs for the retail team to ensure consistent service levels - Develop sales strategies to drive sales growth - Develop and manage teams across citites. Be responsible for their hiring, training and retention Key Performance Indicators: - Number of new locations going live as per the business plan - Gross margin and M2M growth of each location Experience & Expectations: - A minimum of 4 years of experience in retail expansion for Retail or QSR Brands. Candidates from the QSR Industries will be preferred - Ability to manage cross-functional teams across geographies - Strong people management skills - Willing to travel across the country on a regular basis - Strong negotiation skills with a proven ability to identify, create, negotiate and close a deal - Analytical and data drove - Comfortable working hands-on in a fast-paced start-up environment - Strong strategic, leadership and management skills with a strong focus on results - High level of influencing skills and result in oriented individual with great integrity - Experience building relationships and interacting with all levels of leadership with internal and external partners - Excellent eye for detail, able to deep dive and good problem-solving skills - Good business knowledge of retail and merchandising concepts
