SKF - Assistant Manager - Application Engineering - Lubrication

Purpose of the role :

Based on customers needs, promote the SKF know-how and value proposition in line with strategy in the assigned region. Propose technical solutions in cooperation with the sales force. Manage technical relationships with customers, including responding to enquiries, handling complaints and evaluating technical risks. Bring a strong technical expertise into the market and be involved in conversion of orders and technical trainings.

Responsibilities :

- Develop techno-commercial solution for the customer requirements / leads generated

- Work on value proposition along with Sales team; Adopt new products and technology to ensure competitiveness

- Work as a bridge between Customers / Sales and back end AE / Design team

- Actively support Regional Sales for order conversion

- Participate actively in Contract review and Complaint (TER) handling

- Support Design team in drawing approvals

- Metrics

- On time offer submission - response time as per the due dates

- Conversion - offer to order

- Organic business growth through solution offerings for customers - (20% of orders)

- New applications developed / leads generated

Competencies :

- Knowledge of Lubrication / Hydraulic systems, products, configuration rules

- Segment knowledge, applications (across the width of portfolio)

- Technical problem solving, Strong quantitative skills

- Effective Communication and relationship management

- Tools - AutoCAD (P&ID), SAP, C4C

Candidate Profile :

- BE - Mechanical

- 5 to 6 years experience in lubrication / hydraulics
