We at Skechers India , are hiring for the position of Senior Manager - Industrial Relations to be based at our New Distribution Centre (NDC), Taloja.

Position: Senior Manager - Industrial Relations

Location : Taloja

Education :

Science Graduate + MBA (preferred) . Ideal candidate from reputed MBA School PGM (IR/HR) while manging IR function.

Experience :

Supply Chain professional with 10 years of exposure to Industrial Relationship, Manpower recruitment, Liaison and Compliance, Vendor Identification, related to warehouse operations, attending court matters maintain compliance creating various policies and procedures for all activities where regulations apply Ideal candidate from Large 3PL and e-Commerce organizations who have deployed 300+ manpower for warehouse operations.

Job Description :

- Be part of Setting-up & Core Team Managing IR and Compliance, Vendor Identification and Management, Manpower Recruitment, Contracting & Commercials for NDC Project

- Managing Human Resource, Budgeting, Industrial Relationships, and Compliance within the framework of the Company Policies, Values, Rules & Regulations.

- To cater to the requirements of managing the Human Resource, Industrial relationships within the framework of the company policies, values, rules & regulations To ensure proper compliance of various obligations under various Labour Laws as applicable to the warehouse and distribution centre

- To deal with trade unions, contractors, labours, communicating with workers on regular basis and explaining in the language known by them to avoid any confusion

- Review different labour laws, civil laws and consult with the companys legal representative to assure if the company is in compliance with all of these regulations

- Grievance handling, day to day grievances at site and grievances may be related to employees performance, individual or organisational or including clients / customer

- Employee engagement and welfare activities for the contract employees

- Advising management on the statutory compliance and effects of decisions on the compliance wherever and whenever required

- Liaison with government, labour, local authorities, politicians etc who have a major impact in the operations of the site and organization

- Regulations: responsible for ensuring companies comply to the general regulations which includes health and safety, employment legislation, diversity, data protection

- Risk Management: familiarize with regulations and identify areas of the business to which regulations apply, assess the work of those areas and identify scenarios where there is a risk of non-compliance

- Policies: To maintain compliance creating various policies and procedures for all activities where regulations apply. Giving information to employees and arranging trainings to build understanding and awareness Enforcement: carry out audits and reviews to ensure employees are following compliance policies. Respond to complaints from authorities, regulators or other employees about cases of non-compliance

- Reporting: document all complaints to provide reports for senior management teams to highlight any issues or risk to the companys business

- Cost Control/ rationalization of manpower: discuss and analyze with the business heads/IR head for cost controlling and maximum utilization of manpower

- Recruitment of contract manpower: Ensure right candidate is hired under contract, screening and final round of interviews are monitored

- Checking of monthly Bills : Checking of monthly bills ,Contract labour, Provident Fund, Mathadi, ESIC, Professional Tax, Factory Act, LWF, Statistical audit, etc

- Core Competencies

- Supply Chain Management, Industrial Relationships, Manpower Recruitment, Grievance Handling, Liaison with authorities, Statutory compliance especially related to Labour Laws, Provident Fund, ESIC, Tax, MLWF, factory act, shop and establishment act, Team Management, Risk Management, Budgeting, Vendor Relations Management, P&L, Know Local Language and Authorities surrounding NDC.

Skill Sets :

- Supply Chain Orientation, understanding of warehouse operations and manpower requirement

- Excellent communication skills (oral and written) in Marathi and English, as well as a strong credibility and Liaison with government, labour, local authorities, politicians etc who have a major impact in the operations of the site and organization

- Experience in manpower recruitment, budgeting and capacity building of new manpower vendors

- Vendor conflict management and issue resolutions with Local & Government Authorities,

- Good exposure to Local Geography and areas surrounds to NDC

- Attending conciliations, on the disputes raised by different trade unions and other contract workmens individually for wage settlements and for any other disputes

- Checking of monthly Bills : Checking of monthly bills, Contract labour, Provident Fund, Mathadi, ESIC, Professional Tax, Factory Act, LWF, Statistical audit, etc.

- Knowledge of designing SOPs and Digital platforms for attendance and performance monitoring
