operations / activities happening at site, by:

(a) Display and promote safety behaviors at all times. Use proper personal protective equipment, appropriate safety tools, equipment and procedure to ensure that self and other go home safe each day

(b) Compliance to our Life Saving Rules (LSR)

(c) Ensure all safety related trainings are complete for all at site

(d) Support and follow the policy of reporting incidents & near misses

(e) Lead implementation of continuous improvement culture, including showing and stimulating model behavior on the shop floor

(f) Learning from SHE flyers from global to avoid repetition and local level

(2) Site Manufacturing Operations

(a) Define and manage the manufacturing and maintenance plan for the premix plant, in accordance with agreed operational and strategic goals of the region

(b) Monitor and execution of the site manufacturing plan and take corrective actions when necessary by:

- Ensuring everyone uses updated production procedures by liaising with regional operations

- Work on improving efficiency of operations continuously

- Upkeep of the production equipment on regular basis for safe and continuous operations

(c) Liaise with sales team and business lead to ensure timely execution of production orders and maintain OTIF > 95% all the times

(d) Liaise with the region for maintaining KPI's within the limits defined and strive for continuous improvement

(e) Develop, maintain and manage contacts with government organizations in order to obtain and safeguard short term and long term LTO (license to operate) and business continuity

(f) Maintain cost effective operations for optimal business performance by maintaining cost within approved opex

(g) Drive Capex projects within timelines and budget

(3) Planning & inventory control

(a) Ensure production planning is done in an accurate manner to ensure the finished goods reach the customers in time

(b) Work closely with production planner and raw material planner to ensure all resources are available including timely availability of raw materials for production and guide them upfront.

(c) Maintain CDI of plant at the desired target by ensuring the raw materials and finished goods do not stock up unnecessarily in the plant. Liaise with finance team for time to time review and support for coordination with sales team on good inventory control

(d) Review the forecast from time to time to ensure raw material requirements are put into the system for timely production

(4) Purchasing

(a) Ensure purchasing team is well aware of the production plans and raw material requirements for timely requirement of raw materials with adequate quality

(b) Along with the purchasing team, review the supplier performance from time to time to ensure cost effective and desired quality raw materials

(c) Advise and guide the purchasing team on key decisions

(5) Forward solutions

(a) Work extensively for development of toller partners for business by:

- Coordinating with key account managers from sales on the audit and approval process with support from quality team

- Final selection on tollers for India region by close coordination with finance

- Align with legal team on agreements for the tollers

- Work with our India team for operational support and toller finalization

(6) Compliances

Ensure, guide and work closely with office manager on all:

- Statutory requirements

- Legal requirements

- Factory license

- Contractor requirements

- All government regulations

- Social audits like SEDEX

(7) Overall coordination

(a) With sales teams for customer visits / audits for ensuring smooth business

(b) With planning, quality and formulation teams to ensure:

- Right codes of products in the system

- Align on right ingredients for the final premix boms

- Align on product data sheets

(c) Maintenance and production for resolving issues on day to day basis for continuous operations

(d) With supply chain teams for transportation of finished goods

(e) With all stakeholders for resolving issues and providing coordination and support for complaints

(f) All operations team for working towards one common goal for give best service to the customers

4. Position context

- Coordinate and manage the production of custom premixes and distribution of DNP produced premixes in accordance with DNP Quality, SHE & Security requirements, procedures and government regulations. Manage operating and capital expenses to achieve budgeted cost per kilo, unit productivity measure and SHE frequency index.

5. Position content

a) Key areas of accountability/responsibility

- Provide leadership and direction for the premix plant. Develop motivated and competent staff. Ensure open and effective communication in the plant.

- Responsible for implementing and maintaining the operations management system including all training, documenting, reviewing and communicating of the goals and compliance status (SHE, Security, GMP, Triple P and government regulations) of the facility

- Contribute to regional strategy and policy in general and specifically to production and distribution, either directly to commercial management of indirectly via director of premix operations

- Ensure the installation is managed in technically sound, safe and environmentally acceptable manner by complying with all the requirements and other relevant regulations and best practices.

- Allocate resources and spending within approved budget

- Set targets and KPI's and ensure adequate management reporting of the performance of the plant

- Select, manage coach and develop staff, in line with the values and HR requirements and procedure

- Networking production plan and production know-how

6. Complexity of the position

- Several different stakeholders on a day to day basis (Production, Purchasing, Logistic, Commercial, QC & DSCM)

- Continuously changing demand and short lead time orders gives challenges in forecasting and planning of raw material consumption and determining the necessary stock levels

- Limited accuracy of the demand forecast requires flexibility in planning and inventory management

- Small organization requires job flexibility

- Back up production planner (will be trained for that)

7. Knowledge and educational level

- Bachelor's Degree or higher or equivalent experience

- Knowledge of SAP

- Relevant qualifications and experience in a dry and/or liquid blend manufacturing environment at supervisor or management level

- Knowledge of SHE, operational safety, PCS application, chemicals and their properties, the formulation process and lot traceability

- Experience in emergency management, budgetary discipline, supply chain and project management

8. Required level of experiences

- At least 5 years' experience relevant industry experience within an ISO certified and /or cGMP regulated environment

- Proven problem solving, trouble shooting and cost reduction record

- Experience with blending production system
