Experience:
- 0-2 years of experience in the corporate practice of a well reputed law firm(s) or a mix of law firm experience and in-house experience of general corporate laws, including, Companies Act, 2013, Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999, Competition Act, 2002, Indian Contracts Act, 1872, SEBI laws, RBI regulations, Industrial and Labour Law(s), Data Protection Laws, and Legal Metrology Act, 2010. Worked as team member on large or medium sized assignments/transactions with a team of associates, worked on joint ventures, M&A, private equity, restructuring, agreements.
- Understanding of what needs review in a due diligence exercise, submit reports based on check lists for preparation of a full report within a limited time. Up to date knowledge of current case law on transactions and changing regulations. Able to research and draft first cut opinions in corporate law areas. Ability to draft and mark-up +version control of agreements on the above subjects.
Required Skills:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, can make presentations before third party audiences on legal subjects. Should be able to handle multiple assignments simultaneous with little supervision and be able to also supervise work of junior resources.
- Ability to handle large or medium sized assignments with a team of associate. Should have up to date knowledge of current case laws on corporate and changing regulation. Should be able to analyse and apply laws to offer succinct but practical solutions to client. Good team player. High level of integrity, honesty and commitment to work ethics.
Qualifications : A three/five year law degree from a reputed university with a good academic record. CS/CA/LLM would be added advantage
