Title: Associate Director - Finance Role: Head - Accounts &amp; Procurement Location: Bangalore, India Reporting Manager: Finance Controller Job description: - Simplilearn, a leading global provider of professional certification courses that address the unique learning needs of working professionals and Fortune 500 organization, is looking for a self-driven and experienced individual for leading the Accounting &amp; Procurement function. - He will be responsible for leading the global sourcing effort, identifying potential suppliers and conducting negotiations on high-value or strategic categories. He should be a strong leader, a great communicator, and a negotiator and an analytical mind capable of taking on the toughest challenges. - He will be managing the key stakeholder's expectation of other functions with respect to both Accounting and Procurement. - He will be responsible for authoring and overseeing business processes, defining SLA, setting up the Procurement function. - He will also assist in other finance-led initiatives in terms of cost optimization, profit maximization. He will also assist in both internal audit and statutory audit procedures. Key Responsibilities: - Setting up the Procurement function. - Preparing the SOP for the Procurement Process. - Supervision of the team involved in end-to-end Procure 2 Payable Process (P2P) - Supervision of end-to-end Quote 2 Cash process - Supervision of end-to-end Cash / Payment Gateway management process - Ensuring the Statutory requirements while fulfilling the payables/receivables transaction - Making Sure FEMA / Exchange control regulations are adhered to (foreign Inward / Outward foreign remittances) - Supervision of Periodic Book Closing activities, reconciliations - Ledger Scrutiny and making sure the books of accounts are Current and Complete - Ensure SLA's Published have adhered to Liaison with Business team and peer finance members in resolving issues &amp; Managing Escalations - Ensure Process Adherence &amp; Internal Controls - Process Improvement &amp; System Implementation - People management - Team meetings, Team building, and Motivation activities - Designing / Operating Internal Control Systems. - Anticipate, proactively communicate and escalate issues to the Manager and the client in a timely fashion Qualifications : - CA / ICWAI / MBA - Finance - Should have prior experience of 10-12 years in the relevant area - Should be a people person and must have managed a team of 5 or more - Should have good exposure to MS Office (especially MS Excel) - Exposure to ERP is essential - Aptitude, passion, &amp; inclination towards data interpretation and self-motivation will be key differentiators Attention to details : - Innovative and analytical, with excellent verbal and written communication skills - Team player instincts with the ability to see a project to a conclusion with little or no follow-up - Excellent oral and written communication skills - Ability to work in a Start-up environment and adjust in a fast-moving organization will also be required to be successful in this role - Guide and motivate the team members
