Responsibilities:

- Design Direction and Leadership - Lead the activities for multiple projects related to UX Research, interaction design, innovation, and design delivery by collaborating with users, product managers, and engineering teams to help evolve new and existing user experiences, interaction paradigms, product features and look and feel for our Business that will re-define future human experiences.

- Set strategic direction, and the design evolution of our platform user experience and interfaces, while also leads the hands-on execution of User research & design.

- Contribute towards Product Design, from concept through development with the use of Information Architecture, wireframes, prototypes and customer journeys.

- Transform business needs, market research and user insights into innovative concepts

- Scope, plan, and lead UX activities from initial requirements to the concept, interaction design, and development

- Create on-brand design solutions that meet measurable business goals and requirements.

- Create world-class customer experiences and beautiful visuals that support and reinforce Simplilearn's vision, brand, and business objectives across all platforms.

- Create style guides and design pattern libraries in support of our brand, cross-platform experiences.

- Help build, develop and maintain a set of best practices and operational guidelines to reduce and minimize production efforts.

- Inspire and Mentor the design team by producing and integrating effective & efficient design practices

Desired Skills

- A skilled expert, with 7+ years of professional experience

- At least 3 years of UX Design experience.

- Experience undertaking user research, testing and requirements gathering.

- Creative thinker with the ability to constantly challenge the status quo and expose details otherwise overlooked

- Strong sense of urgency; commitment to deadlines and deliverables. Demonstrated willingness to take initiative and be creative.

- High attention to detail and thoroughness, coupled with big picture view and strong organizational skills.

- Formal education in Product Design, Interactive Design, Communication Design, HCI or a related field (Bachelor's/Master's/PhD) preferably from NID, IIT or a Top US/Europe HCI/UX program.

- Strong focus on customer experience with an ability to view situations from both a customer and business perspective

- Exposure in designing for the areas of mobile, wearable and ubiquitous user experiences, multimodal, natural and tangible interactions, global and regional lifestyle and identities, contextual data visualization, learning, or any other area that will redefine future human experiences is desirable.

- The breadth of exposure in User Research, creating and optimizing UI flows, wireframing, creating UI Guides and doing Usability testing and UX reviews with proficiency in at least one of the areas is a must.

- Portfolio: Demonstrated success in delivering simple, elegant, usable designs.

- Communication and presentation skills: Ability to communicate and present ideas and details from a UX perspective to internal and external stakeholders.
