Job Description - Operations Manager We are looking for a Operations Manager to join our growing team. The role is based in Bangalore, India. About Shumee We are a fast-growing sustainable toy company that is passionate about bringing back the joy of playing. We are on a mission to change the trajectory of children's play in India by partnering with parents right from the beginning of their journey. Our founder Meeta Sharma Gupta (PhD Harvard - 09, IIT Delhi - 99) is a mum of two herself and founded Shumee in 2014 when she realized the need for quality eco-friendly toys in India. Today, we- ve shipped 20,000+ toys to homes in India and the US through our own portal www.shumee.in and marketplaces. Our office is in Indiranagar, Bangalore. Our design philosophy is that play should be driven by the child and not by the toy. So we focus on creative and explorative toys that help children discover the natural joys of playing. Our toys are simple, colourful, and made of natural, eco-friendly, child-safe materials. i.e., natural wood, organic fabrics, and water-based lead-free paints. About the role On an everyday basis, this role will involve but not limited to - Order Management - fulfilment, logistics and processes to manage current product pipeline - Vendor management - including negotiations, new products and production pipeline. - New vendor development across different product categories - Warehousing management - including inventory optimization and planning - Outbound logistics management including partner management, negotiations, maintaining SLAs - 3rd party retailers- stock &amp; inventory levels &amp; logistics management - Overall function cost reporting &amp; improvement initiatives identification - On-line product and vendor management - Assimilate product data for new products and set up items in the system - Upload product images and other on-site creatives - Collect and maintain on-site copy, images, and product information - Gather sales analysis and customer data from our portal and different 3rd party portals. Skills &amp; Qualifications - - Candidates must have a passion for retail and a desire to learn about eCommerce - Pricing, Planning, Competitive Analysis, Inventory Control etc. - Preferred previous logistics/operations experience. - Candidates must have strong communication skills and command over the English language both written and verbal - Have strong organizational skills. Be smart, enthusiastic, hard-working and innovative - Have strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and Word.
