Educational Qualification- Bachelor's Degree in computer science, applied mathematics, statistics or related field Master's Degree in computer science, applied mathematics, statistics or related field Job Description Highlights- The Data Science Manager is responsible for taking charge of data science initiatives throughout the organization, with the goal of using customer and consumer insights to drive more value through our product offerings. The position will become an expert in our data and our business to develop a vision and strategy on how to leverage advanced data techniques to grow customer value while actively developing product outputs and algorithms. Duties/Responsibilities- - Develop a team of data scientists capable of satisfying data needs, as reflected in company short and long term goals for market growth - Work closely with internal product teams, vendors, and other outside resources to balance buy / build strategies related to data acquisition, processing, and reporting - Build and enhance predictive customer progression models - Employ a deep command of data science modeling techniques and statistics, leveraging a variety of technologies, open-source languages, and cloud computing platforms - Apply expertise in model design, training, evaluation, validation, and implementation - Unlock insights by analyzing large amounts of complex proprietary customer and transactional data, alongside external data Required Skills/Abilities- - Exceptional analytical and decision making skills - Ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment - Ability to use Python, or other languages such as R, Java, C#, etc. Experience- - 9-13 years of related experience in data mining, predictive modeling, machine learning, statistical modeling, large scale data acquisition, transformation, and cleaning, both structured and unstructured data - 1-3 years experience leading people/processes to achieve business goals - Proven experience creating expert SQL scripting - Proven experience working with large data sets and large scale quantitative analysis - Demonstrable history of devising and overseeing data-centered projects - Excellent understanding of statistics, multivariable calculus, and linear algebra - Advanced coursework in machine learning and programming - Proven experience solving complex big data problems, working with algorithms, analyzing big data and running controlled experiments - Experimentation design or A/B testing experience is preferred - Previous experience in managing other team members in a formal or informal capacity (e.g. Lead) preferred - Experience in initiating and driving projects to completion with minimal guidance preferred
