About the Job:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Chartered Accountant to join our Finance & Accounts team, specializing in Fixed Asset management and accounting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of IND-AS, SAP (or similar ERP system), and possess a proven track record in fixed asset accounting, CWIP management, and statutory audit support. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our financial records related to fixed assets, contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.

Responsibilities:

Fixed Asset Management & Accounting:

- SAP/ERP Management: Utilize SAP (or similar ERP system) for accurate recording, tracking, and management of fixed assets throughout their lifecycle.

- Capitalization & Retirement: Ensure timely and accurate capitalization of newly acquired fixed assets, including proper classification, cost allocation, and depreciation method selection. Manage the retirement, disposal, and transfer of fixed assets, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.

- Depreciation Calculation: Accurately compute and record depreciation expenses based on applicable depreciation methods and asset useful lives.

- CWIP Management: Conduct periodic reviews of Capital Work-in-Progress (CWIP) to ensure accurate tracking, timely capitalization, and resolution of any discrepancies.

- Capex Accounting: Control and oversee the accounting for capital expenditures (Capex), ensuring adherence to approved budgets and proper documentation.

- Fixed Asset Register Maintenance: Maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date fixed asset register, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

- Physical Verification: Participate in and support the physical verification of fixed assets, reconciling physical counts with the fixed asset register.

Financial Reporting & Compliance:

- IND-AS Compliance: Ensure all fixed asset accounting practices comply with relevant IND-AS standards.

- Financial Statement Preparation: Assist in the finalization of books of accounts and preparation of IND-AS compliant financial statements, particularly related to fixed asset disclosures.

- Month-End Closing: Perform month-end closing activities, including preparing and posting journal entries related to fixed assets and depreciation.

- Subsidiary Financials: Prepare and analyze financial statements for subsidiaries, ensuring accuracy and consistency.

Audit & Reconciliation:

- Statutory Audit Support: Assist in the completion of statutory audits by preparing audit schedules, providing necessary documentation, and responding to auditor queries.

- Audit Schedule Preparation: Prepare accurate and timely audit schedules for fixed assets and related accounts.

- Inter-Store Reconciliation: Conduct inter-store reconciliations with the head office, resolving any discrepancies related to fixed assets.

- Corporate Debit Notes & GST: Raise corporate debit notes on external parties and perform GST cross-charge workings as required.

Other Responsibilities:

- Process Improvement: Identify and recommend process improvements related to fixed asset management and accounting.

- Documentation: Maintain proper documentation for all fixed asset transactions and accounting entries.

- Ad-hoc Tasks: Perform other ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned by the management.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Education: Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 6+ years of post-qualification experience.

- Experience: Proven experience in fixed asset management and accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or similar industry.

Technical Skills:

- Strong understanding of IND-AS and other relevant accounting standards.

- Proficiency in SAP (or similar ERP system) for fixed asset management.

- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.

- Working knowledge of GST regulations.

- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills. -

- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
