Shiv Nadar University - Admissions Process

Shiv Nadar University is an international, multi-disciplinary research focused university. Located on a 286 acre campus in India’s National Capital Region, the University offers undergraduate, post-graduate and doctoral programs in a range of disciplines in Engineering, Humanities and Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, Communication, Business, Art, Design and Performing Arts.

The role is based at campus near Greater Noida. Therefore candidates living in Noida/Greater Noida/South Delhi or willing to move to these places preferred. Conveyance available to and from work location.

The tasks required to be performed and abilities are:

- Run the selection process at SNU in coordination with multiple departments within the organization. Coordinate with multiple external agencies and internal stakeholders. This process will be different from how you know the selections happen in India. Therefore, ability to research extensively and look for breakthrough ideas would be required.

- Own the admission and selection process: Run the admission process as per pre-defined rules and stages. Ensure compliance and zero exceptions across multiple stages including candidate verification, data validation and further processing managing timelines, applications, shortlisting, selection process, admission related logistics, ensuring high standards of quality through the process; Coordinate with a BPO team of 4 people.

- Own and co-ordinate delivery of benchmark standardized assessment by keenly working on meeting development, publishing and delivery timelines; Post delivery reconciliation, exception handling, etc.

- Manage relationships with key agencies relevant to the admission process.

- Work with the CIO’s team as admissions team representative in deployment of ERP.

- Excellent MS Word, Powerpoint and Excel skills (average skills may not be enough. So, evaluate yourself properly)

- Good verbal and written communication skills – ability to write well in English; Ability to have effective conversations with groups of people from different strata

- Ability to think independently, process centric approach, ability to work in cross-functional team environment, good organizing ability; Attention to detail, energy and enthusiasm

- Support for School and Campus Outreach

This profile may require 30-40 days of domestic travel in a year. Post graduate qualification required. Experience in education sector an advantage.
