Shell - Network Planner (4-10 yrs)

Purpose:

Grow Shell India network footprint aspiration at accelerated pace in line with the Network Strategy.

Accountabilities -

- Develop network master plan to meet the customer experiences and Retail aspiration, assure the achievement of first class footprint to secure long-term business competitiveness.

- Review and refresh integrated master plan, incorporating various lens, i.e. Real-Estate, Marketing, Sales and CF. Do the data mining /research on demographics, infrastructural changes and development of market area to back up the master plan.

- Support the development of the annual Network T&R, including Operating Plan and yearly Capital Plan. Provide input for the T&R Process incorporating all significant network changes and estimating effects on capex need and phased capex expenditure.

- Deliver India network strategy through implementation of multi -year plan. Work together as one team with network planning, engineering, real estate, environmental services and partners.

- Create and propose the business case thru Group Investment Proposal (GIP) and engage with key stakeholders of the proposal to secure the necessary approvals for implementation.

- Drive more value from existing network. Analyse data of existing network in order to propose optimisation actions; and provide leadership in shaping First Class Network to maximize value on existing network thru Value Added, NFR opportunities in collaboration with Real Estate, Marketing and S&O teams.

- Implement strategic initiatives like leading and participating in portfolio projects with Real Estate ( e.g. strategic purchase, NTI deals, NTS Deals), building relationship with local authorities and external stakeholders in pursuit of network objectives.

- Accountable for the Market plan delivery together with Real Estate and Engineering as well as the planning delivery.

- Provide good quality identified plots to fill the pipeline, reduce average identification cycle time and increase identification success rate.

- Complete PIR analysis and ensure all learnings from previous year are fully implemented and tracked.

- Ensure the implementation of mandatory global tools and processes as defined in the Network Imperatives, e.g. DOVAMO, Volume Forecasting Tool, GNOMIC, CORE Network, etc.

Requirements

Successful candidate must be a self -starter. Strong commercial mind-set and financial acumen required. Strong communication and stakeholder skills necessary. Ability to work effectively with external stakeholders and partners necessary.

The successful candidate needs:

- Demonstrated ability to think commercially and strategically

- Highly proficient in excel, power point and knowledge of financial tools (DCF model/P&L) preferred

- Ability to analyze, process & interpret large amounts of data within tight deadlines, able to set & work with (conflicting) priorities

- Contribute to the development and implementation of the future strategy

- Set clear goals and measure progress against delivery

- Demonstrate high potential to develop into leadership roles- translate analysis into concrete actions & act upon these in daily business

- Work in multi-cultural environment

- Willingness to travel

Special Challenges:

- Build and have a firm grasp of market specific characteristics and build a fit for purpose master plan to cater and serve effectively these market area specific conditions and characteristics.

- Successful candidate must also be a visible safety leader- sharing learnings and best practices across the larger organization (internal and external stakeholders)

- A solution provider- demonstrates and proposes alternative solutions and is able to effectively influence and get stakeholder buy-in on the alternative solution

- Able to analyze, process & interpret large amounts of data within tight deadlines; able to set & work with (conflicting) priorities.
