About Role :
- We are a rapidly growing private equity firm seeking a dynamic Finance and Operations Manager to join our team. In this role,
- You will oversee the day-to-day financial and operational functions across all programs. Your responsibilities will include managing finance operations, administrative reporting, and human resources administration.
- This is a key leadership position, integral to ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and seamless coordination across all facets of our operations.
Financial Management:
- Ensure proper execution of daily accounting functions in QuickBooks, including field cash verification, cash/bank reconciliation, monthly cash book closing, advances reconciliation, and AR/AP management.
- Collect cash forecasts from all departments and update the cash flow sheet in a timely manner.
- Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of transactions.
- Prepare and maintain customer contract trackers and update the ARR sheet regularly.
- Develop and implement robust financial policies and procedures to strengthen internal controls.
- Collaborate with the Program team to contribute to proposal budgeting and recommend budget realignments as necessary.
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, while monitoring and reporting variances.
- Review and reconcile financial accounts, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards.
- Provide guidance and support to staff on financial operations, fostering professional development and growth.
- Liaise with internal auditors to ensure timely audit preparation, share findings, and oversee implementation of recommendations.
Operational Management:
- Assume day-to-day operational responsibility for all portfolio companies, ensuring teams are adequately staffed and SLA commitments are met.
- Manage employee and company insurance plans effectively.
- Oversee company subscriptions, ensuring optimized costs and eliminating unused licenses across platforms such as Aspose, Atlassian Jira, GitLab, TestRail, Slack, Zoom, Vanta, DocuSign, HubSpot, Zendesk, and others.
- Participate in the hiring process, building and growing a strong support engineering team through onboarding and training (track onboarding/offboarding checklists).
- Prepare and manage SOC, HIPAA, and company insurance audit reports.
- Oversee US payroll processes and ensure compliance with related tax regulations.
- Assist with staff travel bookings and event management.
- Address escalations by investigating root causes and implementing effective solutions.
Staff Management & Capacity Building:
- Support the design and implementation of financial management capacity-building initiatives for team members.
- Advocate for and plan professional development opportunities to enhance the skills and growth of all team members.
Qualifications & Experience:
- MBA Finance from Reputed Insititute (Tier1,Tier2) with qualification of 5+ years of relevant work experience.
- Knowledge of IND-US and IFRS standards is preferred.
- Extensive experience with computerized accounting systems, especially QuickBooks and MS Excel.
