Summary Of Overall Job :
Operations Excellence is the execution of the Plant strategy more consistently and reliably than the competition and is evidenced by results. The work of a Senior Manager Operations is to improve productivity, lower operational risk, lower operating costs, increase the organization's revenues relative to its competitors for creating value for customers and shareholders. Operations Excellence will have to work consistently on the following Organization management areas:

7. Cost optimization
KEY RESULT AREAS :
1. Design systems and processes for lead time reduction, cost optimization, productivity improvement of people and bring about flexibility in Manufacturing operations
2. Participate in different Manufacturing Excellence Awards and improve score over last score by 6 to 10 percent, or set benchmarks for yearly improvement
3. Cost Optimization through Operations Excellence - deliver a minimum of INR 2 crores in absolute cost savings annually
4. Simplification, tech-augmentation and implementation of at least 5 processes and policies
5. Identify risks and contingencies associated to operations, identify critical functions/people and build plans for recovery as part of Business Continuity Planning
6. Creation and maintenance of Dashboards for SC and Plant Operations: Planned downtime reduction, Unplanned downtime reduction, Operational Efficiency improvement, Manufacturing, Packing & Release (batch releases), Yield improvement, Demand and Supply Planning, Procurement Planning, Logistics, Purchase cost
7. QuOTIF improvement for all markets/countries including BD Partners to reach a target QuOTIF of greater than or equal to 95%
8. SLA improvement for all Sentiss markets/countries
9. Ensuring day to day activities compliance with standards and performance measures set in the approved SCM policy and procedures
10. Ensuring KPI and BSC adherence by SC and Plant Teams
11. Monitoring total value of goods destroyed (RM/PM/PPM/FG etc.) across Plant and Sentiss Research Center
Key Functions/ Responsibilities :
1) Identify risks and contingencies associated to operations, identify critical functions/people and build plans for recovery as part of Business Continuity Planning
2) Achieve and sustain Operations Excellence within defined metrics
3) Build culture of Operations Excellence and cost saving across all functions in Operations
4) Design systems and processes for lead time reduction, cost optimization, productivity improvement of people and bring about flexibility in Manufacturing & Business operations
5) Drive various improvement projects in Operations using Six Sigma, Lean, TQM, TPM, Kaizen and other improvement methodologies
6) Manage Value Chain improvement initiatives across all functions in Operations
7) Recommend and Implement continuous improvement initiatives designed to improve operations, decrease turnaround times and streamline work processes in Production and Supply Chain
8) Plan and Implement Production and supply chain optimization projects
9) Working on Strategic Plant and Supply Chain Deliverables
10) Cross Functional Team Interaction along with interactions with HOD's including the President
11) Managing Key Stakeholders
12) Creating and maintaining dashboards - Click Sense, BI Tool, KPI, Balance Score Card
13) Analysis of monthly Operations MIS and cost statements presented by Finance, and conduct cost reviews based on the MIS
14) Ensure that day to day activities comply with standards and performance measures set in the approved policy and procedures
15) Develop a future roadmap for Operational Excellence in Business & Manufacturing operations for the leadership
16) Lead efforts to integrate the Supply Chain Operations with global functions and processes
17) Responsible to - lead the change process- by working closely with the Site Head and the rest of Site Leadership Team
18) Implementing Customer feedback Management systems (both internal and external customers) in Supply Chain and Manufacturing Operations
19) Optimizing available resources through capacity planning and continuous improvement to maximize productivity
20) Leading & Training of team members to ensure efficiency in service operations
Preferred Skills :
1) Knowledge of 5-S Systems
2) Six-sigma Green/Black Belt Certification
3) Project Management Certification
4) Knowledge of BI/reporting tools
MUST HAVE :
1) Analytical Mind with Business Acumen
2) Strong skills in MS Office
3) Knowledge of Pharma Manufacturing & Supply Chain Operations
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
Education : B.E/B.Tech & MBA (preferably from tier I institutes)
Experience : 3-7 years experience (preferably in the Pharmaceutical Industry)
