Senior VP - Engineering - Consumer Internet Firm

SVP - Engineering with a leading Consumer internet organization

- An opportunity to lead the engineering organization for a consumer internet company and get to work with a top notch engineering team. The role is a highly challenging one that will involve defining the engineering framework, architecture and motivate the team to meet deadlines in delivering the best consumer facing products.

- You would be part of a highly dynamic product development organization possessing entrepreneurial spirit.

Key Responsibilities :

- Contribute as part of the management team to determine strategic directions

- Coordinate with the design and product teams for feature improvement, performance, up-time and scalability

- Ability to track different metrics over time to achieve engineering goals

- Communicate with various business stakeholders within and outside the organization to align the engineering team's efforts with the business goals of the organization

- Constantly motivate, mentor and guide the engineering team members

- Harness the capabilities of individuals and teams to ensure appropriate opportunities and growth for them

- Devise processes and mechanisms to ensure expected uptime of production applications

- Augment skills and capability of the engineering team by recruiting and training the members

- Ability to help design a reasonably well crafted usable interface

Requirements :

- Engineering graduate from a premier engineering institute with Minimum 10+ Years of relevant experience

- At least 4+ years of experience in building complex and large scale web based systems

- Strong understanding of Amazon Cloud, Elastic Search, Solr, apart from the core tech stack - php, mysql, cassandra, javascript

- Hands on experience with building large scale apps for Android and iOS

- Should be able to think out of the box for solving problems and finding solutions

- Should have managed a large and high performing engineering team

- Brilliant at communication, estimation and delivery, change management, and leadership capabilities
