Hirirng for a MNC bank for CAO role:

The role of the Country Admin Officer is to ensure that the Head of Operations to whom they align is fully supported on all aspects of planning, management reporting, governance, operations risk oversight and administrative support. In addition they are responsible for leading a team of in-Country Risk & Admin Officers to ensure Operational teams in the country are aligned to the demands of that country

The primary objectives for this role are:

- Ensure appropriate management governance and controls are in place in the country.

- Ensure appropriate oversight of operational risks so that Head of Operations is able to demonstrate entity and regulatory demands are being met or issues escalated.

- Ensure best practice and global initiatives are executed across all operations sub-functions in the country and that optimal solutions and approaches are being implemented.

- Support the Head of Operations by producing MI and reports to meet local needs, sourced from the global metric and reporting framework.

- Overall responsibility for - alignment to the blueprint(s) within country.

- Overall responsibility for the Business Planning Process in the country.

- To lead/coordinate any ad- hoc activities and programmes as directed by Head of Operations or Regional CAO.

Understanding, disseminating and communicating multiple complex strategies, initiatives and projects.

Deputises for the Head of Operations, acting as the first point of contact in his/her absence and as such empowered to make decisions on his/her behalf.

Liaising with the senior leadership team in-country.

Minimising operational costs by the efficient use of resources and planning techniques.

Coordinate with Business Risk and Control Management and relevant risk teams to support Head of Operations in addressing country operations risk and control management related issues/escalation

The primary function of this role is to provide strategic, management and administrative support to the Head of Operations and the wider team, ensuring adherence to Global, Regional and Country strategy and policy.

Certifications, Qualifications & Experience

KNOWLEDGE

- Detailed understanding of the diverse business areas that comprise Group Operations.

- Full understanding of an operational environment.

EXPERIENCE

- Depth and breadth of experience in the banking industry is essential to equip the jobholder for engagement / negotiation on strategic issues with senior managers internally.

- Clear understanding of, and experience in, managing operational risk.

SKILLS

- Communication - the ability to communicate complex issues concisely.

- Analysis/strategy - the ability to analyse complex issues and identify / assess the long-term, strategic implications for the Bank and its customers.

- Excellent relationship management and influencing skills.

- Well-developed project management skills.

- High degree of drive and motivation - to ensure delivery of objectives in a timely, efficient and effective manner.

- Commitment and contribution to the overall team performance.

- Strong leader and positive role model.

- Ability to lead, motivate and develop individuals within a team.
