Senior Vice President - Underwriting - Reinsurance (12-20 yrs)

Senior Vice President - Non Life Insurance

One of the well known Insurance Company in Oman.

- Next-in command to CEO for Non Life department

- Lead the Non Life team, direct Corporate Marketing, Broker relations, Underwriting, Claims and Fac reinsurance operations

- Provide Business Plans and ensure consisted profitable performance of Non Life unit

- Formulate, review and implement best practice guidelines, Strategy documents, Manuals, Rating guidelines, processes and procedures

- Review Policy wordings and ensure use of wordings of good standard

- Responsible for prudent Underwriting in full adherence to approved guidelines and policies

- Consolidate and develop strong network of facultative reinsurance support

- Decide on level of retention, cessions to Treaty and extent of facultative support required

- Manage facultative reinsurance in optimal manner to achieve most competitive terms, maximize reinsurance commission, ensure quality of Reinsurance Security, negotiate most favourable cover and other terms

- Overall direction of non Motor Claims

- Provide leadership and mentorship to all the departments overseen

- Ensure regulatory compliance, interact with regulatory authorities

Reporting to : CEO


Minimum Academic/Professional Qualification:

- Graduate degree in Engineering from a 4-year program or higher equivalent

- Risk Management qualification will be an advantage

- Insurance accreditation - ACII, UK/Fellowship from India

Minimum Work Experience:

- 12 years in Technical functions involving reinsurer interactions with minimum 4 years as lead Underwriter

- Will oversee a team of 30
