Senior Vice President - Regulatory Reporting/Capital & RWA - Investment Bank (17-20 yrs)

Opening for IB based in Chennai for Sr.VP- Regulatory Reporting, Capital & RWA, Capital Analytics and Financial Analytics, Basel.


Responsibilities

The Operations Manager will oversee and provide support for teams supporting:

- FR Y9-C, FFIEC031, FR Y15, FFIEC009, FR Y12, FR2900/ FRY14, and SEC Reporting which requires knowledge of core US Regulatory Weekly and Quarterly Reporting. This function requires Report Owner experience in preparing and reviewing data received from our Business Controllers and / or General Ledger with specific emphasis on the completeness, accuracy and related variance analysis.

- Basel Reporting & Analytics with emphasis on Capital Reporting (Risk Weighted Assets) and solid analytical skills. This work requires exposure to and understanding of related Regulatory disclosures - FFIEC101, 102 and Pillar 3.

- Basel and FRY14 - DIRF, CASTAIM & DCS requires solid data quality analysis skills - the ability to compare indicative data elements against required values to ensure accuracy. Knowledge of tools like SQL and Toad are important.

Responsibilities include:

- Maintain and obtain SME knowledge of the main Regulatory Reporting requirements.

- Performance of comprehensive assessments of new accounting standards from a Regulatory Reporting perspective.

- Working efficiently with accounting policy and SEC filing partners to collate and prepare financial disclosures within tight timeframes.

- Partners with Corporate Accounting Policy, Business Controllers and the Regulatory Interpretations Team to ensure that consistent adherence to regulatory rules

- Participate in key projects to support the RBR Reporting Teams in meeting the fast change and heightened expectations of regulatory reporting requirements.

- Implement change management effectively communicating regulatory reporting changes to all stakeholders to ensure appropriate implementation of new or revised regulatory reporting requirements.

- Ensure the compliance with requirements under the Company's Regulatory Reporting Governance & Oversight Framework

- Provide input to the impact of reporting deficiencies; communicate and facilitate the discussion with LOB reporting teams for resolution; track and document the resolution implementation cycle from report owner perspectives.

- Set standards for report review process to ensure the fulfillment of report owner responsibility.

Essential qualifications

- Qualified CA/CFA/ICWA/MBA Up to 17+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: finance, accounting, analytics and reporting

- Or: Qualified CA/CFA/ICWA/MBA degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Business and 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: finance, accounting, analytics or reporting

- 9+ years of supervisory or management experience, directly supervising staff

- Excels at supporting ad-hoc requests for reporting analysis and issue investigation as needed

- Solid experience in US Regulatory Reporting. Strong accounting background is a requirement, advanced degree preferred

- Public Accounting Certification strongly preferred

- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

- Extensive knowledge and understanding of research and analysis

- Ability to lead in a team environment and across all organizational levels, Superior project management skills including the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently

- Ability to synthesize complex analytical findings into executive-level communications

- Ability to translate and summarize complex data into understandable, actionable information and recommendations

- Knowledge and understanding of analytical methods used to: plan, conduct, and direct the analysis of complex business problems

Desired Qualifications:

- Big four public accounting experience

- Strong Project management experience / certification
