Senior Vice President - Legal - Real Estate

This position reports into the Managing Director of a very large real estate company of India

a. Provide legal advice and identify legal risks involved in any agreements/ contracts/ documents.

b. Supervise Court Proceedings, Civil Appeals, Criminal Appeals, briefing counsels in heavy and sensitive cases in High Courts and Supreme Courts etc.

c. Title search - investigation of title by getting the searches taken. Verification of title deeds and other supporting documents/ papers.

d. Co-ordination with Consulting Advocates, Solicitors for their expert opinions and Consultations.

e. Co-ordination and liaisoning with Govt. bodies and court related matters.

f. Drafting of Writ Petitions, and finalisation of all documents like MOU, Development Agreement, Agreement for Sale, Power of Attorney, Deed of Conveyance, Leave and License Agreement and all such legal documents required by the company from time to time.

g. Knowledge of DC Rules and Regulations.

h. Knowledge of official liquidation processes and documentations.

i. Ensure complete end-to-end legal procedures/ correspondence for all matters that may have a legal or contractual interface.

j. Maintain detailed checklists for Legal / regulatory compliance of all existing & new applicable laws.

k. Keep track of the pending litigation cases, court matters and update management on the status.

l. Exposure to Corporate Laws prevailing in the real estate.
