Reporting to : Founders Level : Leadership Location : Bangalore About us : We are a Series B+, SaaS company with an overall team size exceeding 500 and global customer base. We are looking for a member to join our senior leadership to - Take end-to-end ownership of 2 departments; work with 1 of the founders on daily basis. - Take reporting of department VPs/ HODs on daily operations as well of the new initiatives i. Take multi-tier reporting of people at leadership roles ii. Conduct daily review meetings with the VPs and HODs Core responsibilities : i. Department design & strategy : - Define goals for your departments. This will require a thorough understanding of customer needs, both existing and potential - Identify basic building blocks required to achieve the goals of the departments - Convert building blocks into actionable initiatives and prioritise such initiatives on the basis of impact and effort required - Define and set up KPIs to monitor the health of the departments - Determine hiring budgets and plans for current and future personnel requirements ii. Operations : - Ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the department - Review of daily operations and KPIs with the VPs and HODs - Identify areas of improvement from Department MIS and daily reviews and implement the changes required - Proactively eliminating bottlenecks in operations and preparing for contingencies - Define plan for operational teams and resources required iii. Team Management : - Define, implement and own the required department structure and teams - Monitor the growth and health of your departments - Enable your team to ensure quality delivery in all these departments - Identify training needs of each person to reach their peak potential. Employ different training and mentoring methods for different team members, as needed - Responsible for performance management within the team including appraisals, ratings, team discipline, etc. Requirement : - Academics from a Tier 1 college (IIM / IIT) - 10-14 years of work experience - Strong team player. Keen interest in mentoring and grooming team members - Bias for action and high intent of getting things done - Strive for excellence. Strong commitment to improve things every day - Ability to take decision based on sound logical arguments.
