Senior Vice President - Finance/Administration - FMCD/Pharma/Healthcare (15-20 yrs)

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

- Responsible for the financial and administrative operations of the Agency including banking, accounting functions, payroll, budget preparation, information technology, human resources and administrative services.

- Oversee all finance and accounting functions, including billing & A/R, budgeting, asset management, cash management, payroll, and financial reporting and analysis.

- Assist in the development, tracking, and achievement of current and long-term organization goals, objectives, policies, and procedures; ensure that internal financial and administrative procedures are compatible with prevailing laws and best practices.

- Creates and periodically updates a financial management plan and budget with short-term and long-term strategic and tactical goals.

- Provides expertise, guidance and oversight in the areas of IT and Human Resources to ensure that those functions are operating and/or being carried out efficiently and cost-effectively.

- Knowledge of principles and practices of capital project management, construction and facility supervision, and ability to implement complex tasks.

- Prepares, edits, and justifies budgets for all programs supervised and provides for the internal allocation and regulation of funds through requisitions and internal adjustment of funds.

- Prepares annual and monthly reports as required and meets all state mandates of the program supervised.

- Monitor organizational performance against both the annual budget and the agency's long-term strategy.

- Prepares accurate and timely recording of all financial information including cash receipts and disbursements, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, payroll and benefits, journal entries and the general ledger.

- Prepares monthly P&L, Balance Sheet, cash flow, and supplemental schedules.

- Manages all aspects of the annual audit.

- Overseeing the contract billing and collection schedule

- Works closely with the Executive Director to develop and monitor the financial budget and strategy of the Agency and ensure that it aligns with the overall strategic direction of the agency.

- Creates and periodically updates a financial management plan and budget with short-term and long-term strategic and tactical goals.

- Works with the program managers to develop and monitor budgets and financial statements. Assesses and manages the Agency risk and liability.

- Providing financial information to meet the needs of managers including producing customized financial reports, costing templates, trend analysis on an as needed, monthly, quarterly and annual basis.

- Administering and reviewing all financial plans and budgets; monitor progress and changes and keeping the Senior Leadership Team abreast of the organization's financial status.

- Conducting exit interviews to determine reasons behind separation and in conjunction with the Senior Leadership Team, developing strategies for retention

- Supporting staffing by managing the document flow for hires, terminations, leaves, salary changes, special payments and ensuring that new hires have adequate workspace and office equipment.

- Evaluating and maintaining adequate insurance coverage to meet the changing needs of the organization.

- Ensuring that policies are timely renewed or replaced, claims are filed and resolved and managing the relationship with the insurance carriers

- Working closely and transparently with all external partners including third-party vendors and consultants.

- Supervising the Accounting Assistant, Administrative & Marketing Assistant and IT Consultants..

Required Skills/Abilities:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Thorough knowledge of financial and legal best practices and requirements with a proven ability to provide sound and ethical financial counsel to executive leadership.

- Thorough understanding of and personal involvement with systems and methodologies of finance and administration.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Qualification/Experience: 


- Chartered Accountant or Cost Accountant, or Post Graduate/ MBA in Finance and Accounting.


- Minimum 12 years hands-on experience on management of finance and operations of a growing organization with multiple office locations.
