Overview: This role is focused on developing our client's Procurement strategy, processes, and organization to enable the fulfillment of our Client obligations. It will involve the management of the Procurement & Supplier Relations teams to identify, evaluate, select, contract, and manage our supplier relationships including materials and subcontracted labor/services for our revenue projects as well as for our internal use. Additionally, the role will include the oversight of the logistics to get product from point of origin to point of consumption. The successful candidate will be responsible for building relationships with our supplier and installer base as well as expanding our capabilities by bringing on new supplier partners. Responsibilities: - Define and implement comprehensive strategies for all aspects of the company's global procurement to reduce costs, mitigate risk, improve quality, and shorten lead-times - Develop and implement procurement and supply chain strategies and plans that result in meeting or exceeding organizational financial objectives, growth, and retention strategies - As a value-added functional service, deliver targeted savings, cost avoidance, and improvement performance in support of program, projects, and organizational goals and objectives - Strong ability to develop and maintain a formidable network of supportive stakeholders that continuously promote procurement as a valued contributor to the success of the division and the company - Ability to collaborate with Project Management and Operations to improve Product Lifecycle Management - spearhead sourcing initiatives, establish strategic procurement agreements and improved logistics approaches in new markets, territories, and countries to support organizational growth objectives - Develop and implement Supplier Relationship Management and Supplier Performance Review strategies and plans; to ensure successful Supplier Partnerships and exceptional performance from key performing suppliers; delivering value over and above what would normally be achieved - Ability to competitively bid and award multi-year Strategic Agreements based on preferred terms and conditions, discounted pricing, and strategic delivery methods and strategies using best-value or technical-accepted-low-price approaches - Extensive Experience leading large Procurement and Supply Chain Organizations and cross-functional teams - Challenge existing suppliers and to upgrade their capabilities. Seek out future potential supply & install partners to help our client's with market position. Negotiate supply agreements with all global vendors and suppliers - Continuously develop/enhance supply chain productivity and operational processes. Implement industry best practices for forecasting, sourcing, risk mitigation, inventory, and vendor management - Develop supply chain effectiveness metrics and report regularly on supply chain performance, utilizing metrics Requirements - Excellent leadership/communication skills - 10+ years of demonstrated experience managing resources both nationally and internationally - C.P.M., C.P.S.M. or N.A.C.M. certifications or eligibility preferred but not mandatory - Excellent facilitation skills - Ability to remain calm during unexpected issues that arise and develop effective solutions - Ability to motivate team members by building trust and confidence through actions, words, and leadership skills - Ability to work and collaborate effectively with a team and support high levels of performance - Desire to continually add value to and ensure accuracy and quality in all work performed - Ability to be an effective listener and respond in a positive manner - Ability to be sensitive towards others and consistently treat others with honesty and respect - Ability to identify, understand, and respond to the various needs of the team, both professional and personal - Ability to employ persuasion skills with discretion and consideration - Excellent written and oral communication abilities - Computer skills, specifically Excel, Word, MS Project - Strong interpersonal, organizational, time management and problem-solving skills - Ability to travel domestically and internationally - Ability to perform essential functions of the job
