Senior Vice President - Business Development (Pan India Role) - Supply Chain
About Client :-
The client is an integrated supply chain company offering:
- Omni-channel warehousing & fulfillment
- Supply Chain Technology
- Freight
- multi-channel distribution on 20+ online platforms
The company is currently operating ~5L sq ft of warehousing space across 12 fulfillment centers pan-India. The fulfillment centers are currently located at Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Bhiwandi, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Bangalore. We will be adding 9 more locations over the next 12 months, taking our overall warehousing footprint to ~ 1Mn sq ft across 16 cities.
We are already serving Enterprise Clients like Onida, Reliance, Bharat Agri, WH Smith, Wolters Kluwer, Elsevier etc. Overall, our client serves ~75 Enterprises, D2C brands and SMEs brands across 10 categories and has grown 3.5x last year and are growing 20-30% Month on Month.
The client has an in-house technology team of ~30 people who develop products like WMS, OMS, TMS, Intelligent Inventory Placement etc
About the Role:
- The role is primarily for acquiring B2B Enterprise warehousing customers who may or may not need additional B2C Warehousing & Fulfillment services.
- Enterprise Accounts are those with annual billing of more than - 2 Cr per annum
- Following teams will be reporting/supporting this leadership role:
a) BD Team (6-8 members)
- 2 VPs
- 4 AVPs/ GM
- 2 AGM/ Sr Managers
b) Solution Design Team (5 members)
- 2 VPs
- 1 GM
- 2 Sr Managers
c) Warehouse Design Team (2 members)
d) Real Estate Team (2 members)
e) Inside Sales Team (4 members)
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 15+ years of overall experience in the supply chain industry, specially in contract logistics
- Currently, should be leading the overall Sales/ BD function at a 3PL/ Contract Logistics company and reporting directly to the CEO/ Founders. Or, the candidate should be working at a large supply chain company reporting indirectly to the Chief Business Officer/ Chief Revenue Officer/ CEO/ Founder
- 5+ years of experience closing large enterprise clients for Warehousing and Fulfillment services
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Should be analytically sound
- Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills.
