Job Description

- TCS is one of the largest private sector companies in India and globally admired for its practices. The company is looking for a suitable candidate for the Niche profile of "Underwriter / Sr. Underwriter - US Residential Mortgage" in Gurugram.

The requirement is very specific and please refer to the below checkpoints to eligibility.

- Candidate should have at least 1 year's Experience in Core Underwriting of Mortgage for US (United States). Note: Underwriting experience for other countries, eg. UK, Australia, NZ, etc. is NOT relevant for this role. Having only good knowledge (and no experience) is also not relevant.

- Candidate should have Exposure Only in "Residential" Mortgage Underwriting. Note: Experience in any other form, eg. Commercial Underwriting, Student loan, etc. is not relevant.

- Candidate should NOT have an Employment / Working Gap of More than 6 Months within the same underwriting Profile.

- Core underwriting experience is a must. Good working knowledge of all 4 C's of Underwriting. I.e. Credit. Capacity, Collateral and Capital. Note: Other forms like 'Modification / Mitigation underwriting' are not relevant.

- Candidate should have exposure and Experience in the Underwriting Process as a Core Underwriter. Eg. Loss Mitigation, Loan Processing, Modification, Servicing, etc. Note: Only Auditing experience is not relevant

- Candidate should have experience in reviewing of collaterals including in-depth analysis of appraisal reports, Title commitment, Fraud risk checks, Insurances documents and Sales contract.

- Candidate should have Exposure to work under Credit policy guidelines and investor guidelines (Including FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA & USDA) and apply them to specific loans for effective sale in the secondary market.

- Candidate should have experience in analysis of Assets, Income and Credit to ensure borrower profile, transaction and properties meet the company's lending criteria.

- Stringently look for parameters of 'Loan to Value' (LTV), 'Debt to Income ratio' (DTI) and 'Housing to Income ratio' (HTI) ratio, components in the Mortgage loan files

- Candidate should have Experience in reviewing of the Borrower profile including Credit, Income, Assets, Collateral, Compliance, Employment and other Lending risks such as interested party involvements.

Additional Information :

- Candidates to be - Flexibile towards the work schedules as below: -

- Work Days: Any 5 days in the week, as per schedule by the company

- Work Timings: Any shift (Can be US / UK slots, etc.)

- Cab facility and Night Shift allowance is provided additionally.

- Required Qualification: Any graduate/Post Graduate
