Overview :

iMerit is a fast-growing organization that now operates out of ten delivery centers spanning three countries and home offices in the US, Europe, India and Bhutan. The nature of the services it provides is evolving quickly as iMerits client base expands into new sectors and clients use of AI technology matures. To remain competitive, iMerit needs to be able to rapidly grow and leverage its knowledge effectively in serving clients across multiple sectors and geographies both the explicit knowledge codified in the form of knowledge assets such as documents, training materials and lessons learned reports as well as the tacit knowledge and expertise of its staff across the globe.

iMerit is looking for a Senior Technical Project Manager to lead implementation of a knowledge environment that serves its staff around the world and:

- Helps iMerit leverage knowledge as a client retention mechanism and a key differentiator from its competitors,

- Facilitates iMerits ability to build its internal expertise on in targeted sectors and segments of its business,

- Enhances iMerits ability to rapidly expand the capabilities of its workforce,

- Improves iMerits operational effectiveness,

- Facilitates the agility iMerit needs to respond to a rapidly changing marketplace

- Leverages the investments iMerit makes to grow and retain both explicit and tacit knowledge in business-critical areas.

Job Description :

- Works with iMerit leaders to understand iMerits priorities and goals, the operations critical to accomplishing those goals and identifies gaps in the acquisition and/or exchange of knowledge needed to successfully carry those operations.

- Reviews current iMerit mechanisms for acquiring and exchanging knowledge with iMerit stakeholders, assesses their effectiveness and identifies their strengths and weaknesses.

- Recommends a holistic knowledge management strategy that outlines investments needed in knowledge repositories, knowledge communities (e.g., expert groups and communities of practice), knowledge management tools, knowledge management practices to address critical knowledge gaps and establish a robust knowledge environment and KM practice that supports changing iMerit needs.

- Builds awareness among iMerit leaders of the scope of the change management program needed to ensure implementation of the KM strategy including their role as change management program sponsors.

- Refines the strategy periodically in response to changes in iMerit priorities and goals and evaluations of iMerits KM effectiveness.

- Works with iMerit KM Stakeholders to develop a plan for implementing a knowledge environment that realizes iMerits KM strategy.

- Defines a knowledge environment architecture that identifies the components of iMerits knowledge environment and the way they will be leveraged to accelerate the acquisition and exchange of tacit and explicit knowledge.

- Leads the organization in establishing iMerit knowledge repositories that incorporate best practices relative to structuring knowledge bases, classifying and tagging their assets, maintaining their quality and relevance and providing the context and navigation needed to ensure their fit for use by various iMerit stakeholder groups.

- Leads the effort to launch, facilitate and sustain the operation of knowledge communities ranging from communities of practice to expert groups. Provides guidance that incorporates best practices relative to community involvement in acquiring knowledge, facilitating and providing context for knowledge exchange, maintaining the value of knowledge repositories and ensuring continuity of tacit knowledge critical to iMerit operations.

- Leads the effort to select and configure the technology and tools that facilitate knowledge repository organization and maintenance, knowledge community collaboration and iMerit stakeholder access to knowledge resources.

- Defines and documents the knowledge management policies practices required to manage iMerits knowledge environment and leverage its assets including practices for building and maintaining knowledge repositories, launching and sustaining knowledge communities, implementing and maintaining KM technology, and facilitating access and contribution to knowledge environment resources in the context of day-today activities.

- Reports periodically on progress in implementing the KM strategy and plan.

- Refines the KM plan periodically in response to changes in iMerits KM strategy.

- Defines a change management program designed to institutionalize the use of iMerits KM practices.

- Selects and trains change agents and leads them in implementation of the KM change management program across all iMerit components.

- Provides guidance for building KM program sponsorship within each iMerit component including the implementation of policies, communication programs and reward and recognition programs designed to facilitate adoption of KM practices.

- Leads the development and rollout of training programs designed to build iMerits capacity to use of KM repositories, participate in KM communities and carry out KM practices.

- Gathers stakeholder feedback concerning the use of iMerits knowledge environment and assesses its effectiveness in contributing to iMerit priorities and goals.

- Participates and represents iMerit in KM forums, carries out KM research and identifies emerging KM trends that have potential value to iMerit in achieving its KM Strategy and Plan.

- Recommends changes to iMerits KM Strategy and Plan based on stakeholder feedback and KM trends.

Required Qualifications :

1. Degree in knowledge management, related discipline or equivalent experience.

2. 10+ years experience in developing knowledge program strategies and aligning them with the business goals of the organization they serve.

3. Experience in implementing knowledge programs that include investments in both explicit knowledge (knowledge captured in knowledge repositories) as well as tacit knowledge (knowledge developed and shared by communities of practice).

4. Expert knowledge of the techniques and tools used to organize, maintain and provide access to knowledge repositories.

5. Expert knowledge of the techniques and tools used to foster and sustain knowledge community operations.

6. Expert knowledge of the technique and tools used to foster use of and contribution to knowledge environment resources.

7. Experience with Google applications including Google Sites, Shared Drives, Google Calendar, Google Chat and Google hangout desirable.

8. In-depth experience with Microsoft Office applications and/or Google equivalents.

9. Experience in development of business processes for managing knowledge environments.

10. Experience in development and implementation of business change management programs including policy development, communications, training, reward and recognition, and assessment and evaluation.

11. Leadership and ability to manage through influence.

12. Ability to negotiate, persuade and build consensus among persons and organizations that may have opposing views.

13. Self-motivated and able to tolerate the level of ambiguity that frequently accompanies major business changes.

14. Strong customer support focus.

15. Intercultural sensitivity and good English language communication skills required to communicate with users across different geographies

16. Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid work from office and work from home environment. with remote team members.
