Senior Systems Accountant - SAP BW

- To support Group Accounting & Reporting team reporting, responsible for the full spectrum of financial operations ( Group and its subsidiaries) and IT function for the Global business.

- Ensure timely financial/management reporting and as a business partner, provide both regular and ad hoc analysis to support key strategic decisions and initiatives.

- To establish and maintain robust finance processes and policies and a strong internal control environment while proactively implementing suitable improvements.

Job Content :

Key responsibilities :

a. Acting as a bridge between IT, business and accounting

b. Tasks with providing support to key decision makers and be the interface between the business and technology/systems

c. Establish and maintain robust finance processes and policies (including the writing & implementation of policies and procedures)

d. Establish a strong internal control & environment while proactively implementing suitable improvements.

e. Tasks with looking at working processes and aiming to improve their efficiency and effectiveness

f. Design and develop appropriate reporting tools using Business Warehouse to extract from SAP and other systems.

g. Provides direct support and assistance to Director, Accounting and Financial Reporting.

Other responsibilities :

a. CPM (consolidation) upgrading - automatic extraction from SAP to CPM (BUs need to kill all adjustments in SAP) to instil strong internal control

b. Ensure that SAP financial are fully integrated with CPM and no manual adjustments before upload /automatic extraction to CPM is allowed.

c. Continuously monitoring & governance - ensure the discipline in the BUs & IT BEPs.

d. Working closely with IT BPEs and business units- accounting team

e. Continuously working on automation of reports and dashboard reporting or improving these systems for DSP's organization wide (CEO/CFO/Operations & Tech/PMC/DSCM/Sales & Marketing)

f. Manage, maintain and improve financial IT systems and system modifications

g. Conduct regular financial systems training and associated material

Projects

a. Lead and participate in projects involving financial accounting or management reporting.

b. Participate Corporate and Global accounting/ reporting improvement projects.

Comply to the company, SHE&Q and security regulations; signal unsafe situations, (near) incidents, environmental, quality and security risks; stop proceedings when serious violations of the regulations occur and report these. Address others to comply with the regulations to prevent unsafe behavior.

Knowledge and educational level

1. Education level:

a. Degree in Finance and control discipline

2. Knowledge level:

a) Must have strong accounting (IFRS)& reporting

b) Must have SAP systems and and SAP BW process in order to be able to track and trace the required information from the data available.

c) Inter personal skills in order to seek non-standard information with time constraints from the relevant people concerned.

d) Ability to manage upwards and downwards to find the balance between adequate and too much information.

e) Mobilise resources for any additional work that needs to go in getting the information required in order to complete the tasks listed above.

f) Good to have CPM (consolidation programme) and other related systems knowledge.

g) One who can multi task, manage timelines & be flexible.

h) Frequent travel required.
