Responsibilities:
1. Data Collection and Management: Gathering and organizing data from various sources such as ERP systems, logistics software, and other databases to create a comprehensive dataset for analysis.
2. Data Analysis: Applying statistical and analytical techniques to evaluate supply chain performance, identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost reduction or process improvement.
3. Forecasting and Demand Planning: Using historical data and statistical models to forecast demand for products, materials, or components. This helps in optimizing inventory levels, managing production schedules, and meeting customer demands.
4. Performance Measurement: Developing key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor and evaluate the performance of supply chain processes. This includes tracking metrics like on-time delivery, inventory turnover, fill rates, and transportation costs.
5. Reporting and Visualization: Creating reports, dashboards, and visualizations to present supply chain data insights to stakeholders, including management, operations teams, and business partners. Effective communication of findings is crucial for making data-driven decisions.
6. Continuous Improvement: Collaborating with cross-functional teams such as procurement, logistics, and operations to identify opportunities for process improvement, cost savings, and enhanced efficiency. The data analyst will play a vital role in driving initiatives to optimize the supply chain.
7. Technology and Tools: Staying updated with emerging technologies, data analysis tools, and supply chain software to improve data collection, analysis, and reporting capabilities.
