Senior Specialist - Employee Relations - IT (9-15 yrs)

What you'll do

- Act as first point of contact for all employee related issues including, but not limited to harassment, discrimination, wage and hour concerns, leaves of absence, workers compensation, injuries, onboarding, terminations, attendance, investigations and disciplinary actions. Conduct complex investigations and form recommendations in all cases.

- Review compliance with local laws and immediately work with Legal to put mitigation/action plans in place.

- Assist with the implementation of department and company goals, objectives, policies and procedures

- Conduct and lead complex investigations related to employee claims and advise leaders and Talent Partner teams while ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.

- Create insights from data to inform process and program improvements, and share findings with key partners to develop and deliver a plan which links to People strategy.

- Continue the optimization of Employee Relations by designing and implementing best practices of risk analysis, effective investigation practices, case management, stakeholder engagement, reporting and analytics of ER cases and trends globally.

- Drive cultural adoption of the Employee Relations model through communication and ER training for managers and employees.

- Provide leadership to the team to ensure employee advocacy, objective investigations, and sound risk mitigation for the firm.

- Holds the team accountable to conduct timely investigative interviews and provide appropriate stakeholder updates. Ensure all investigations and cases are well documented.

- Work closely with Talent Partners and Legal regarding recommendations for the region.

- Inspects cases for efficient and effective tracking to provide reporting to Talent Partner and HR COE's and provide data analysis with suggested actions to improve the employee experience.

What you need to succeed

- Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Employment Law, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience; JD or advanced degree preferred.

- 5+ years of 5+ years investigatory experience/Employee Relations experience and combined 10 years HR experience

- Knowledge and familiarity of working in a Global ER environment

- Minimum 4 years of directly managing complex employee relations issues or advising startups and/or corporate clients around best employment practices, incl. outsourcing and M&A.

- Use and implementation of online case management systems.

- Use of ER data to identify gaps in HR policies and practices and experience harmonizing HR practices for consistent application globally.

- Proven interpersonal skills with a reputation as diplomatic, professional, collaborative, approachable, and knowledgeable.

- Strong experience applying organizational HR policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance.

- Provide consultation to address corrective action and termination recommendations as a result of poor performance.
