Job Description: Cognitive NLP Text Search / Data Science Responsibilities: - Implement and Demonstrate AI / NLP / Data science capabilities and value of these capabilities (proof-of value/concept) to achieve business outcomes with a primary focus on the IBM Watson Platform - Able to design, develop, and customize data extraction, ingestion, and annotation using the IBM Watson Platform (Explorer / Watson Content Analytics) or other technologies - Develop crawlers to ingest data and apply rule-based and ML annotators - Perform research and stay current with new technology trends in natural language processing (NLP). Required skills and qualifications: - Experience with computational languages such as R, Python (at least one of) - At least 2 years of experience implementing Enterprise Search and Content Analytics and text-mining solutions - Experience in developing solutions with IBM Watson platform such as Watson Explorer, Watson Content Analytics, Watson Discovery, Knowledge Studio or other related technologies - Expertise in Text analytics and end-to-end model training and deployment. - Expertise in Cloud APIs in Azure and AWS - Basic understanding of Semantics such as ontology, taxonomy, etc. - Basic understanding of quantitative techniques in predictive and prescriptive analytics Education Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Technical Science or 10+ years of IT/Programming experience - Minimum 2 years of experience in solutioning for Artificial Intelligence use cases, plus web application development & systems integration experience e.g. REST/SOAP - Prior solutioning experience with No SQL databases, data streaming, and integrating unstructured data Professional Skill Requirements - Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment - Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment - Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting - Demonstrated versatility in technical leadership, project management, and systems/software development and implementation - Strong teamwork, self-management, problem-solving abilities - Excellent oral and written communication skills Additional skills/Preferences: - Understanding of data management and data integration technologies - Education or experience in life science industry
