Designation : Sr Specialist Business Development

Location : Bangalore

A top-tier law firm is looking to hire a Business Development Specialist.

This role will, in conjunction with the Head - Business Development, plan and drive all business development and client initiatives for the Firm, as well as, work very closely with the Partners to plan and implement specific markets and practice/sector area outreach.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

- Assist in designing & developing business development strategies, identifying opportunities across identified markets and geographies, as well as practice area and sector specializations

- In conjunction with Practice/Sector heads, lead and oversee the development and growth of profitable new business, develop and maintain effective key client relationships in line with overall Firm strategy

- Maintain market intelligence on competitors, existing & potential clients, create reports, analysis & share insights on trends in terms of corporate investments & public policy changes

- Assist with responses to RFPs and pitches, as well as, research on clients and industry trends

- Develop & execute client engagement programs through strategic outreach initiatives

- Maintain and manage relationships with industry bodies, sector-specific event organizers and provide event coordination and support

- Maintain and build Firm marketing collateral

- Assist with maintaining and developing the CRM database

COMPETENCIES / ATTRIBUTES : 

- Ability to drive cross functional collaboration

- Strong drive for results in a goal driven organization

- Strong project management & execution skills

- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team

- Good understanding of Client Relationship Management tools and techniques

EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE : 

- MBA / Graduate from reputed Business Schools preferred

- 5 -7 years of marketing and business development experience in Legal / Professional Services / Consulting Firms

- Experience in managing key Client stakeholder relationships (Internal / External)

- Excellent verbal, written communication, editing and proofreading capabilities is essential

- Strong analytical and presentation skills

- Excellent IT knowledge including MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel skills

- Familiarity with the legal industry is not required but would be considered beneficial
