Responsible for Top Line across Products, Segments and Channels. Achieve the desired Market share across products; Drive the Marketing and Advertising Strategies to drive the leadership.

The CMO is responsible for the overall Sales & Marketing Function and Business Results. He would be managing the following through his team :

Sales Function:

a) Achieve the Business targets across the Product Categories

b) Strategize & Manage Sales & Distribution Channel Efficiently across Traditional Trade and Organized Trade

c) Expand the business to drive Market Share in the Category by improving width and depth of distribution across categories

d) Strategize the right distribution model and drive volumes and market share.

e) Understand the Product Portfolio and play to maximize the overall margins.

f) Identify the opportunities in the Organized Trade across Ecommerce, Modern Trade and Institution Sales, strengthen the presence and play to triple the turnover in 3 years.

g) Understand the Export Market Opportunities and Lead the company to take advantage of the opportunities.

h) Drive MRP based selling.

i) Bring in a culture of reviews and KPI

j) Develop a strong Sales Force that is best in class and delivers outstanding results.

k) Work closely with HR and identify training opportunities to strengthen talent of front line.

Marketing

1. Development and Implementation of the Brand Strategy

2. Developing the Marketing Strategy for existing and new products

3. Overseeing Implementation of Marketing Strategy including Campaigns, Advertising, Digital Marketing, Public Relations, Field Marketing Promotions

4. Strategize and Execute Advertising, Marketing & Promotional strategies for all categories.

5. Define and execute the branding and strategy for Dealers and own stores

6. Identify opportunities from the emerging sales channels such as Ecommerce, Online and devise effective Marketing strategies to drive Sales.

7. Identify, Position and Execute strategies for Emerging Products to contribute 15% mix of the total business.

8. Undertake periodic analysis of competition and industry developments / trends and identify suitable strategy to maintain brand leadership.

9. Conduct Customer and Trade Research to understand opportunities and challenges from time to time and design programs to address the same.

10. Work closely with the Sales team and help them meet their targets by providing appropriate tools, materials and presentations.

11. Guide the New Product Development and Product Management team to design and develop products that establish brand as a leader across all segments

12. Manage Social Media presence and devise programs to improve the presence, participation, reputation and imagery of the brand

13. Manage the overall Marketing Budgets and spends effectively to achieve the desired goals

14. Identify appropriate platforms and events to build the image into a top brand in the segment.

15. Assist the CEO in establishing a brand to reckon across the emerging segments.

The candidate must have:

- Between 15-20 years sales and marketing experience and must be an achiever of his goals.

- Must have worked in 3 or 4 companies maximum.

- Candidates must have been exposed to Direct & Indirect Sales Operations & Dealer Network preferably in FMCG or Consumer Durable Products, Telecom

- The candidate must have handled brands and led the overall brand and advertising strategy for consumer brands.

- Candidate must have had experience in managing spends and can articulate the media mix for a strategy

- Candidate must have a good understanding of the Online / Ecommerce channels

- Candidate must have experience balancing the Digital media and its vagaries.

- Proven track record of success in senior sales and marketing roles.

- Demonstrated capability in managing channels, Product Mix for all segments.

- Must be able to lead the business through new and emerging channels.

- Entrepreneurial mindset

- Must possess strong Interpersonal and Leadership Skills

- Must have prior experience managing the Board & Investors Expectations.

- Must have the strategic bent of mind and an ability to see the Big Picture

- Confident, Driven and Dynamic leader
