Senior Role - Financial Analysis - Modeling - BFS

JOB TITLE : Financial Analysis - Modeling (5-8 years)

An exciting techno-functional role with a Global Banking and Financial firm for a Modeler holding 5-8 years of relevant experience in statistical modeling, quantitative research, financial analysis and risk management. 

An opportunity to show exceptional expertise as a part of Business banking and financial modeling team, understanding and developing models with deep understanding of banking organization hierarchy and structure. You will support the development of tech-enabled products to help management in decision making.

YOU WILL RESPONSIBLE FOR : 

- Designing, developing, implementing, and validating statistical models and segmentation for the BFSI sector.

- Enhance estimation method design by improving model estimation approaches being used and/or by developing more advanced non-model estimation approaches.

- Perform data extraction, sampling, and statistical analysis/modeling using linear regression, logistic regression, time series analysis/forecasting, multivariate analysis (i.e. clustering analysis, principal component analysis, discriminate analysis, etc.) and advanced data mining techniques.

- Analyze existing estimation documentation, gain access to estimation input data and assumptions, and experiment to create better statistical models or non-model approaches

- Analyze and interpret financial data using SAS, R and other statistical software.

- Provide and present model results, insights and recommendation to senior management and partners using MS Office (i.e. PowerPoint, Word, and Excel).

- Partner with internal teams to implement models/segments/tools into system and to support business execution and/or analytics on revenue growth and loss control.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE :

- Degree in a Finance, Economics, Statistics, Engineering or related field.

- FRM, CFA, CPA certification a plus

- 5 to 7 years work experience in statistical modeling, quantitative research, financial analysis, risk management, or related field

- Understanding of a banking organization hierarchy and structure.

- Knowledge of financial products/markets and regulatory requirements a plus

- Experience in SAS, R and SQL, database such as ORACLE/TERADATA.

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to interpret complicated and large amounts of data with business insights

- Prior experience in mentorship/ managing 1-3 people.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills to clearly present analytical findings and make business.
