Senior Role - Reinsurance Accounting

- Career Opportunity For The Profile Of Reinsurance Accounting In World'S Largest Insurance Company

- Roles in Reinsurance Accounting, US GAAP Reporting and Operations i.e. Technical Accounting, Claims , Collections, Cash allocation, Underwriter Support etc

- Subject matter expert and able to supervise, guide and train the team to ensure an effective working environment

- Oversee the delivery of processes and services that meet or exceed established KPIs

- Ensure processes are properly documented, updated and reviewed regularly with a view to achieving improvements and efficiencies

- Engage proactively with stakeholders to ensure risks are identified and managed accordingly

- Maintain a strong internal controls environment

- Assist internal and external auditors

Skills and Key Capabilities Required :

- 5+ years Accounting experience. Also 5+ years experience in Reinsurance business.

- University graduate/PG. Business / Accounting or Finance degree preferred.

- Experience working in a multinational financial services firm, mostly in insurance or reinsurance

- Excellent understanding of Insurance and Reinsurance concepts for Property & Casualty Business

- Excellent understanding of reinsurance contracts and contract wordings

- Strong control environment background and expertise with a focus on right first time, on time

- Engage proactively with stakeholders to ensure risks are identified and managed accordingly

- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail

- Strong verbal and written skills are essential

- Proven staff management skills

- Team player with history of building collaborative working relationships

- Excellent time management skills ability to handle multiple priorities, organise work and meet deadlines

- Excellent MS Excel knowledge with experience using pivot tables, v-look-ups and data management and presentation (report preparation and related presentation). Proficient in MS Word and PowerPoint. Knowledge of MS Access and Visio beneficial
