Senior Research Lead - Equity Research - Professional Services

We are scouting for Senior Research Lead-Equity Research for one of our clients which is a global professional services provider, offering research, analytics, and data management services.

Job Description :

- Support equity research analysts of a global investment bank in conducting research on companies

- Build detailed financial models (historical and forecasts), including valuation, using approaches such as DCF, DDM, and trading and transaction multiples

- Write initiation, coverage, sector, and theme-based reports, earning notes, quarterly updates, newsletters, event updates, etc.

- Cover securities on which research has been initiated

- Track news, events, and results of the companies under coverage

- Track and monitor regulatory trends impacting the industry

- Build and maintain databases and track key macroeconomic indicators / industry KPIs

- Listen to and summarize investment conference calls

- Assist lead analyst in preparing company profiles, newsletters, flash and earning notes, initiating coverage reports, etc.

- Create roadshow presentations

- Handle ad-hoc research requests as per clients- requirements

- Conduct a detailed analysis of each security, covering relevant aspects

- Frequently interact with senior stakeholders to discuss day-to-day work and present it to the client

Skill Set Required :

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Strong understanding of accounting concepts and valuation methodologies

- Expertise in building financial models

- Good financial writing skills (beyond factual reporting, such as company description)

- Ability to build client rapport and work in sync with onshore teams

- Ability to work independently

- Ability to identify and solve issues effectively on time, with eye for details

- Proactiveness and thought leadership

- Knowledge of database tools, including Bloomberg and Reuters, and other financial data systems

- Knowledge of VBA and Excel Macros will be an advantage

Education and Experience :

- MBA in Finance or CA; CFA (US) would be an advantage

- More than 8 years of experience, with at least 5 years of experience in sell-side equity research
