A leading Dubai based consulting firm is looking for candidates for the role of Sr. Project manager for one of their IT transition project for a UAE based client. This is a onsite position.

Job Summary


- The senior project manager (Transition Manager) is responsible for the day-to-day management of the transition to a global IT managed service provider (MSP). This will involve interaction with CLIENT IT, Procurement, Government Partner, Compliance & Risk, HR and other CLIENT departments, as well as a close collaboration with the sponsors of the global IT initiative, USA IT.

- Upon award of the global IT managed service contract, the senior project manager will work with the project sponsor, USA IT, to project manage the Abu Dhabi transition from the local incumbent MSP in CLIENT to the new global MSP, taking into account service stability.

- This is a role that carries an extensive array of responsibilities to ensure that the end-to-end delivery of IT services to the CLIENT community remains stable during the transition to a new MSP.

Required Work Experience :

i. Key business process knowledge and experience in IT.

ii. Typically has at least ten years of IT work experience and five years in related to the service function in an environment similar in size and complexity to the organization (required).

iii. Demonstrable and recent experience in service operations/managing an external service provider.

iv. ITIL (service management) certification must be combined with demonstrable and recent experience in working according to ITIL service management processes. (added advantage)

v. Extensive background with IT management processes, techniques and tools.

vi. Familiarity with, and demonstrated understanding of, the enterprise's business and technical architectures.

vii. Experience in facilitating change, including collaboration with senior-level stakeholders.

viii. Proven internal and external influencing skills at senior and executive management levels

ix. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
