Senior Project Manager
Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Execution:
- Develop comprehensive project plans that define scope, schedule, budget, resources, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Break down complex projects into manageable tasks and milestones.
- Estimate project timelines and budgets accurately.
- Manage project schedules and ensure adherence to deadlines.
- Proactively identify and mitigate project risks.
Resource Management & Team Leadership:
- Lead and motivate a cross-functional project team, fostering collaboration and communication.
- Delegate tasks effectively and hold team members accountable for their deliverables.
- Manage project resources (personnel, budget, equipment) efficiently.
Stakeholder Management & Communication:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders (clients, sponsors, internal teams).
- Communicate project progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders transparently and regularly.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and address concerns effectively.
Quality & Risk Management:
- Implement quality control measures throughout the project lifecycle to ensure deliverables meet standards.
- Identify and assess potential project risks, develop mitigation plans, and track risk status.
- Monitor project performance and adjust plans as needed to maintain project goals.
Project Monitoring & Reporting:
- Track project progress against baselines and identify any deviations.
- Prepare comprehensive project reports for stakeholders, including status updates, budgets, and risks.
- Analyze project data and identify areas for improvement in future projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor/ masters degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA a plus).
- Minimum of 11-12 years of experience in progressively responsible project management roles.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex projects on time, within budget, and to scope.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e. g. , Agile, Waterfall, PMP certification a plus).
- Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in project management software (e. g. , MS Project, Jira, Asana) and communication tools.
