Senior Program Manager/Program Manager - Strategy & Learning (6-8 yrs)

The SPM, Strategy and Learning will work directly with the Executive Director and engage at a strategic level with all teams. The SPM will need to design strategy and roadmaps for projects and teams and will be able to manage work across multiple areas. Receiving exposure to the founders, Board and key stakeholders, the SPM will need to manage the organization's critical priorities. This role is ideally suited to someone who enjoys being intellectually challenged and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities:

SPM (S&L) will work closely with the Executive Director to support in the following areas:

Organisation Development:


- Working with the Founder and Senior Leadership on the development of the strategic plan/framework for the organization, and the associated operating plan

- Manage key organizational processes for executing strategy (this includes strategic reviews on a monthly and quarterly basis, board meeting, external meetings, etc.)

- Supporting the founder by researching and synthesizing the latest findings or other relevant material that will help define or develop the different horizontals and verticals

- Solving key strategic questions for the organization and helping the senior leadership build and develop work areas.

- Creating and maintaining cross collaboration and integration between horizontal and verticals to enable leadership success

- Driving operational support and providing strategic inputs on high-profile projects

Strategic Initiatives

- Support the founder with research, analysis and landscaping as required to support new interventions and initiatives in education and promoting FLN agenda at national and state levels

- Work closely with Program Implementation, Academic and Course teams to ensure good coordination on important cross-functional projects

- Support the fundraising effort in collaboration with AD Fundraising, including strategizing with the organization's US Charity and reporting to marquee international donors

- Supporting the leadership team around building and deepening strategic partnerships with other foundations/ partners, supporters and friends

- Work closely with the Advisory Board and other Advisors, and key members to ensure recommendations are being implemented.

Qualification and experience:

- Bachelor's/ Master's preferred

- 6+ of relevant experience and track record of high achievement with a background in either consulting, strategy or business development

- Experience working with Senior Management, and driving intrapreneurial projects

Desired Qualities

- Good communication and interpersonal skills; fluency in English and Hindi

- The operating style suited to working in a small-organization setting, where teamwork and resourcefulness are highly valued

- Strong analytical, problem solving and presentation skills

- Excellent leadership skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects at a time

- Self-driven; able to take on projects independently; Entrepreneurial spirit and 'can-do' attitude and open to feedback
