Senior Procurement Manager (Grains/Commodities - Wheat)

- To manage the procurement of wheat whilst ensuring adequate supply of materials to meet production needs and maintaining low costs and stock levels.

Key Accountabilities:

- Identifying suppliers for materials required

- Evaluation and negotiation of purchase contracts

- Define the Monthly Purchasing strategy for wheat commodities.

- Maintain and further establish wheat trading sales

- Close supervision of all wheat Commodity tenders and sourcing activities

- Planning and budgeting purchasing requirements

- Coordination with production and commercial departments to understand needs and ensure accurate forecasting

- Develop Category strategy for optimal market entry points for commodity purchasing.

- Assess financial instrument utilisation for price fixing

- Managing the relationship with all suppliers

- Monitoring prices of wheat and raw materials

- Managing the Commodities Team

Qualification And Experience:

1. Graduate with7+ years Wheat trading/ purchasing experience out of which 3 to 5 years should be in an equivalent Management level in a FMCG environment

2. Strong understanding of Wheat Commodity markets, price determining factors, macro economics

3. Full and complete understanding of Grain Purchase and sales process and documentation including, shipping, contracts, claims process.

4. Strong analytical, evaluation and problem-solving skills

5. Trustworthy and responsible person

6. Good project management skills

7. Result- and execution focused, strong drive and power of initiative

8. Structured approach to planning and project execution

9. Outward-oriented, proactive with strong communication & persuasion skills

10. Strategic and analytical mind-set
