Senior Principal - Consulting (Financial Services and Insurance)


You will work on a variety of business consulting engagements as part of a cross-cultural team across regions, such as Risk & Finance digital transformation, Automation opportunity assessment, Marketing functions blueprinting, Payments Modernization, Right Shoring, and Target Operating Model Definition, Portfolio Valuation, etc.

You will take up a range of roles in the areas of process consulting, functional consulting, tech strategy, program management, and change management. You will analyze problems and come up with solutions, often creative and out-of-the-box, apply business consulting frameworks and methodologies to address business problems, collaborate with client stakeholders, and be responsible for the delivery of business results to clients.

You will pursue and grow deep client relationships, operating at the executive and senior management levels. You will provide leadership on our most critical engagements, working closely with diverse client teams to drive successful outcomes. You will also be involved in branding, thought leadership, practice development, and knowledge management efforts to provide value-adding consulting services that enable our clients to meet the global landscape's changing needs. You will anchor sales proposal preparation and engagement delivery efforts.

Responsibilities include :

Project Execution :

- Lead complex engagements; collaborate with others to identify, upsell, and deliver consulting programs dealing with strategies

- Lead mid- large strategic transformations

- Build compelling Value Prepositions/Go-to-Market (GTM) strategies and entire pipeline of materializing market opportunities

- Create and implement strategies to deliver lasting benefits to clients in related areas e.g.

- Business case development for operational growth

- Business & Operating Model design and implementations-Pursue and grow deep client relationships leading to downstream engagements and account expansion

- Account ownership and revenue generation

Sales / Business Development:

- Drive proposal development and lead proposal discussions

- Develop client relationships to identify and qualify sales opportunities with the assistance of senior leadership

- Lead solution definition for client-specific needs during the opportunity to closure cycle

- Articulate our unique point of view in various thought leadership media, including papers, webinars, and seminars

- Ability to lead and drive compelling business cases and client presentations.

- Contribute towards points of view (POVs) through blogging, white papers, and other thought leadership.

- Lead workstreams to aid the development of new business opportunities.

- Conduct market/client research and industry analysis.

People Development:

- Mentor and coach team members through formal, performance evaluation methods and informal, individual feedback opportunities

- Collaborate and share knowledge

- Lead the day-to-day execution of projects while guiding and developing individual team members

Thought Leadership and Practice Development:

- Lead the development and delivery of service offerings

- Provide insights into new and emerging perspectives. Point of view (POVs) on core service offerings in the FS&I domain, emerging technologies, and practices.

- Provide patterns, best practices, and white paper on business strategy and service offering related areas.

- Directly contribute to capability development

- Expand, publicize, and support continuous development through the firm's knowledge management system, etc.

- Actively works to update/upgrade the level of expertise or knowledge

- Ability to share his/her expertise with others on the team and with the client.

Qualifications:

- Prior work experience either in management consulting or directly working on the advisory business, technology, or operational change initiatives in one or more of these areas of Financial Services industry - Banking, Capital Markets, Payments or Risk and Compliance

- Full-time MBA from top-tier business school/Qualified CA preferred

- Domain Expertise in one or more of the following areas:

Banking - AML/KYC, Commercial banking, Core banking transformation, Corporate Banking, Lending, Loans & Mortgages, Mobile Banking, Retail banking, Trade finance.

Capital Markets - Investment Banking, Market Infra, Private Banking, Retirement Services, Wealth Management.

Payments:

Payment and Cards Transformation, Payments Modernization and Strategy, Instantaneous Payments, Low value, High Value Payments and Cross Border Payments. Payment Interchanges and specifications, Bill Pay, CBDC. Experience with leading Payment, cards products.

Risk and Compliance:

AML, Anti-Financial Crime, Anti-Fraud, Control Room, Customer Due Diligence, Cyber Security, GRC, IT Risk Management, KYC, Operational Resilience, Operational Risk Management, Regulatory Audits and Assessments, Regulatory Change Management, Regulatory Compliance and reporting, Risk and Controls, Trade Surveillance, Transaction Monitoring.

- Horizontal Consulting skills in Financial Services: Agile delivery, Automation, Business Architecture, Business Analysis and Post-merger Integration, Business Strategy, Change Management, Cost Optimization, Customer Experience, Digital Transformation, IT Strategy, Process Consulting, Product Implementation, Program Management.

Additional skills:

- Consulting & advisory experience with top-tier consulting organizations strongly preferred

- Experience in driving large scale transformation /program management/change management

- Should have good experience in interfacing with client executives, business, and IT client members in consultative setups

- Driving digital strategy for FSI clients using key emerging technologies likes Artificial Intelligence, Advanced Analytics, Omni/Conversational Channels, Cloud, Blockchain, Social & Mobility

- Demonstrate thought leadership, ability to conceptualize and drive new solution/service offerings and take them to market

- Working knowledge of Design Thinking

- Ability and willingness to work as part of a cross-cultural team including flexibility to support multiple time zones when necessary

- Willingness to travel
