The role holder will be responsible for effecting Financial Control by implementing proper accounting standards and interpreting financial data for strategic decision making Strategic/Managerial Responsibilities - Participates in the development of the organisation strategy and contributes to the overall process of management and corporate decision making. - Sets the business direction and guides the development of strategy for reporting teams, in line with stated organisational priorities. - Prepares and manages the annual budget for the bank and secures subsequent approvals and ensures adherence - Defines the operating framework for the division, provides leadership and facilitates work processes in order to achieve high performance standards. Core Responsibilities Profit & Loss - Collating and presentation of financial reports including monthly profit and loss statements and analyzing the performance growth for the consumption of Top Management - Give directions on the estimated profit and loss and the corrective actions to be taken by the management from time to time - Accounting Standards &amp; Statutory Reporting - Maintain the various accounting systems of the bank and handle statutory requirements - Define accounting for various Banking products in line with RBI &amp; ICAI requirements - Review and guide team on presentation of IFRS accounts and take various steps to mitigate IFRS impact in Financial Statements - Understanding and Interpreting the RBI circulars and guidelines and giving relevant inputs to management for compliance of the same - Ensure the payments to Vendors and Employee reimbursements are paid on time and ensuring Tax compliances on the same - Validate and evaluate all Financial Information shared by the bank with various Regulatory bodies and external reporting People Management Responsibilities - Develops a continuous talent pipeline for key roles in the department and provides mentoring for high potential talent in the team. - Monitors and enables the achievement of goals and key performance indicators for direct reports and ensures effective implementation of the performance management process in the section. - Develops talent within the team by providing guidance, ongoing feedback, coaching and development opportunities to individuals to enable achievement of the defined goals.
