About the Role : 

The Programme Lead would conduct quantitative and qualitative research, including data analysis, statistics, survey design, stakeholder interviews and engagement, and would support the advancement of the research and policy engagement.

Research :

- To conceptualise new research ideas that are aligned with programme objectives

- To develop a series of publications including policy briefs, reports as well as publish in high quality peer reviewed national and international journals

- To extrapolate and verify data provided by research analysts/programme officers, evaluate, organise and edit the data into comprehensive standard report forms

- To develop surveys and questionnaires and to collect, collate and analyse responses using different data analysis softwares and tools

- To keep a tab on the policy developments in India and across key countries of the world.

Research Management :

- Take ownership of specific projects and assist in overall plan of activities under the risks and adaptation programme, by being an integral part of the team.

- Support effective communication of research outputs, through close coordination with outreach team, engagement with wider network of stakeholders, and concerned policymakers

Engagement :

- To present research to key constituencies, advisory bodies, conferences ; research institutes

- To develop research networks locally, nationally and internationally in support of research programmes

- To develop strong relationships with donors and strategic partners

Candidate Description:

- Should have a strong research background, including an understanding of experimental and analytical research.

- Technical understanding of the domain. For example, for Air Pollution: Ability to work on and configure, air quality models - simple Lagrangian models to more comprehensive integrated tools such as WRF-CAMx.

- Ability to use MS Office application suit including MS Excel

- Relevant publications in peer reviewed journals/book chapters

- Ability to effectively work in a team while being able to independently drive research with minimum assistance, when time demands.

- Ability to work in an interdisciplinary and multicultural environment
